Again, completely missing the point.
It is absolutely nothing, NOTHING to do with difficulty.
IT HAS 2 BEE ABOUT TEH DRIIVING LIIIINE!!! I GET ANGRY IF ITS ABOUT CREATING SOMETHING UNIQUE WITH THE FREEDOM OF THE CREATOR LIKE TERMINATOR 2 TRACK..... IF TIS NO ABOUT OBSTACLEFEST DRIVING LIIIIIINNNNEEESSS!!!
Same ****ing difference. Still pointless to split up RL picks. Still done to shut up wannabe elitest cry babies.
It was done as a favor to the fans of the game that will still be playing it 2 years from now. Redlynx is pretty awesome when it comes to fan-service.
It is not a pointless splitup. There are tracks that have neat ideas and are truly unique, but are riddled with game-ruining (in MY opinion!) camera angles and framerate issues and other things like that. These are fine for people that wanna see the track once just to experience it, but I wouldnt play tracks like this more than once and honestly have no interest in them. If it were up to me, any track with a camera angle behind or in front of the rider would be automatically cut from any chance of a redlynx pick. Same goes for any track that has any noticable framerate issues. "Ride Line" quality can be argued as it is based on opinion, these issues cannot be argued and it is not that hard to avoid them.
There are tracks that have a truly thoughtfull driveline that I could honestly play a hundred times trying to beat my time along with my friends times. They may not have crazy ideas with a ton of stuff happening, but these are the tracks that I seek out, as do a lot of people on this site.
Of course there can be tracks with both, but for some reason they are incredibly rare as far as I can tell.
Do you honestly think its a bad idea to make it easier for both groups of people to find the types of tracks that they want?
