icarus factor video
hey guys, a few people have asked me to post a video on u tube showing that u can achieve the maximum distance on the icarus factor skill game without using a turbo control or glitches, just a standard controller, so check it out guys and please rate if u enjoy, unlike a lot of videos on there showing just a replay of the distance achieved, i show how to vibrate the control in such a way that u can easily make the max distance in this skill game.

Re: icarus factor video
Yeah people have asked me how I did it too, the exact same way as you, with 2 thumbs mashing like a madman

Re: icarus factor video
Yup, thankfully as a sports gamer, i mounted a similar button mash technique in the good ol' days of International Track and Field on the PS1 lol... pretty easy to do without the need of turbo.. good job

Re: icarus factor video
You do realize that you don't need to tap your controller that fast to get it to work now since the update.

Re: icarus factor video
yeah, with the update now actually pressing them that fast gets u nowhere, pretty annoying since it used to be based on speed but i do understand why they did it to stop the use of turbo pads.

Re: icarus factor video
So I've been trying at this for weeks and I've barely managed gold.
First I tried smashing the buttons like the posted video; I'm not quite as fast but certainly fast enough. My guy craters around silver. I do this for about a half-hour before my arm gets incredibly tired and I just casually press X/Y a few times; crashes around the same spot. I read posts about the update so I try a slower speed but I still just crash around silver.
When I watch a replay I see a slow rythm to the left tigger (X button.) My replay shows mine going off-the-wall nuts but that's the only way I've ever gotten any distance.
The one thing I notice I never have happen is that pick up in speed and the "float". My guy just takes whatever speed I get from the initial launch, maybe hovers for a quick second before taking a nice leasurly plunge to the pavement while flapping his little wings off.
This is honestly more frustrating than platting an extreme track. So many people & posts around the internet "it was so easy I did it in two tries!" yet I can smash the *@&$ out of my controller like an old-school Nintendo-hard SHMUP and get absolutely nowhere.
