does any1 else think this. i get they are for the extra challange and i know they are to show the good from the very good players but i think some are just a tad too much. take sunset stripped and cliff jumper for consideration. sunset stripped is nuts. i ride with skill and control and have a good flow through the level. i have gold, but to get plat i still need to take nearly 2 seconds off my time. cliff jumper is the same but i only need to take off .o55 seconds or something like that. .055 seconds is not a great diff and it stands to reason if i land just so at the right place or brake or accelarate or what have you when needed this can be achieved but sunset is doing my nut. now i check out replays to see where i can make up time or see an area that would flow better with diff entry and exit speeds because often theres that little something that you missed. its at this time my issue shows itself. to get the best times often players are flipping away and getting some mad speed/directional effect from it. i dont think this should be necessary to get the plats. yes by all means if you can use these skills, do so to elevate yourself on the leaderboards but at no point in the game do they state that this is needed to play well. i can do all the tracks and most quite well (not mentioning extremes) but some of those plats i gues ill never get because tbh i cant get to grips with flipping around like a nutter. i just think that they should be obtainable through good riding and keeping a good flow over the track. yes make them difficult, that is what they are for, but it would seem a few of them are just a bit.........unreasonable.
disscuss.
They're too easy.
But in all seriousness, watch replays of people that are just making the platinum times and try to do what they do. Then once you get better try to make the shortcuts that the top players are making. That's my advice, hope it helps.

I've only started playing trials a lot when evo come out and can feel your pain especially on sunset stripped. Ive been watching the top guys replays and know I can't emulate exactly where they save time but by trying using their short cuts or tricks I've found it's made me improve greatly and even though im not flipping, hopping or jumping exactly the same, I'm still saving time and obtaining platinums fairly easy.
Some do seem a bit too hard compared to others but they give me more reason to grind a track and really get to know it plus the feeling when you finally get it is great![]()
i do love that "ah about bloody time! momment"![]()
