Right. Im getting really really anoyed with this game continously freezing my xbox. I get a few mates together for a night of races. An boom, xbox freezes over and over again. What causes this,? Is this going to be fixed? Is a patch underway?
I also think their should be a few little changes.
1) i believe that when racing together that when you crash their should be a 2second delay. Many times ive been racing. The person in front crashes. An still progresses like they have not crashed. I believe this is a little unfair. When cuming to a jump. People just checkpoint it to make it quicker. People could win races with faults over a person who has none
2) i also think the scoring system should be changed. I believe its should be 10points 7 points 5 and 3
3) i dont like the way if someone finishes you only get 15seconds to finish, i belive it should be increased to 45seconds.
4) on private matches vs my freind, say were on a hard map, an i use up all my moves, why can i not watch the others play. Why does it stay fixed on my man, many times this has happend and there is still 10 mins left so i have to watch my man just lying on the floor, This gives me the insentive to leave when i dont want to, please change this so atleast i can watch other racers do the track.
What are your thoughts on my ideas people ,?
1) I'd support a time or point penalty for faulting in MP.
2) The scoring system is probably designed to leave people room for comebacks, to keep things close and, like you say, add incentive to stay interested...
3) ...which may make a longer timeout make more sense. I don't know if there's a perfect balance here, but maybe make it an option? I don't know what the constraints are for what they can patch.
4) sounds like a bug
As for the lock ups, they have an update fix pushing out next week that hopefully will help. Head on over to the Support forum and see if there's any other info.

I'm not sure how it works, but faults do hurt you in MP ( I think ). I know they do in supercross. In trials I know there's been time when I won the first one, but came in 2nd on the other 2, while someone wins both, but I still won. I'm going to have to assume that's because they faulted and I didn't. If anyone else has an explanation, I'd love to hear it because I don't understand.
Also, 45 seconds is way too long. I don't feel the need to sit there for 45 second watching some scrub try to finish the track. If you can't stay withing 15 seconds of the leader, you're not going to win anyway, so what's the point. Also, 15 seconds is just for beginner, easy, and medium. Hard and extreme get more time.
1) i agree, less faults (especially on hardcore) should almost always win imo
2) i havent noticed how the 3rd and 4th place points work yet, but there already is 10pt and 7pt.
i think 2nd place only gets 9 points if he finishes within 5 seconds of 1st place, and can get as low as 6 or 7 points for slower runs.
3) im lucky enough to finish 1st more often than not, and i would not want to wait for up 45 seconds every game.
i think a good idea would be to have longer wait times on longer tracks, and shorter on shorter tracks.
this is because, if youre behind you can use a track to dnf your opponents if you get a fantastic run. but its just not possible on shorter tracks. likewise losing by 16 seconds on gigatrack isnt that bad, but youll get about 3points for a dnf.
4) rarely do private matches but id agree with that
echo its possible to win overall with only 1 match win depending on how the others do.
also, it counts as a win if you have the exact same points as someone else overall too![]()
I think there should be an option to set how long the end timer is, at least in private matches. When Me and my friends play together, and we get an extreme track, I always finish while they are still near the beginning. So instead of finishing, I wait right before the finish line to let them battle for second, getting DNF is no fun. I also would wanna watch them battle it out, and give them tips on how to do obstacles. Atleast make is so after the 15 seconds, It gives you the option to press a button to go ahead an end it, or be nice and let them finish. Also in public, I say the end timer should be calculated, maybe based on the medal times for the track, kinda like what Willyumz was saying. Its easy to get farther behind in long/difficult tracks.
I'll wait for the update and see if I feel any different but as of now I'm pretty fed up with Evo.

1) yep in trials and hardcore trials you should be punished for faulting. such an emphasis is put on 0-faulting in single player that this should surely carry over into multiplayer.Originally Posted by Deano09

3) agree with willyumz that the amount of time your opponents have to finish should be based on some sort of algorithm for each track. the longer the track, the longer your opponents have to finish. 45 seconds would be too much even for gigatrack for me tho, personally.
4) not played private mate but yeah you should be able to watch your opponents rather than yourself.
