I expected the track to be a bit more scary overall but it´s nice anyway. You really got me with that jump scare...![]()

Great track pal. The atmosphere at the start really catches what the games n films do I feel. The couple of surprises in there are real neat. Glad your still releasing tracks pal. Nice one.
Silent Hill:Torment
2 words...love it! Really liked the flow. Loved the simplicity of the theme, nothing overkill. You applied the 'less is more' theory perfectly. My only peeve was the driving line was hard to see because of the fog at the first 2 jumps, but nothing a little trial (no pun intended) and error cant fix.![]()
Barrybarfly: Glad you enjoyed the track, even with the unconventional backwards part
xXDonReneXx: Thanks for the vid! I very much appreciate it. It's difficult to make a track actually scary but I did what I could with what I had. I wish I could see people's reactions with the jump scare lol.
JetArtois: I took some liberties with some of the looks but I wanted it to feel unmistakably like Silent Hill. I loved the first 4 games (don't care too much about the ones after that) and I thought the first movie was pretty cool but mainly because Pyramid Head looked so damn cool. Speaking of whom, I'm happy with how he turned out considering making complex custom objects is usually not my strong point. I currently don't have any more tracks in the works or planned but of course this could all change tomorrow
Retribution: It warms my heart like hot chocolate on a snowy day to hear you like my track lol. I know what you mean about the first couple of jumps being difficult to see but the only ways around it were to add a small point light to make it more visible (which may be the best option), move trees so their shadow isn't cast on the obstacle, or change the light angle. Like you said though, it's not terrible once you learn of it. I had a lot of fun testing the track out. The line was quite addicting to me, even as I was building it! Also, thanks for the video![]()
Certainly a change of pace from your original SH tracks. More flow this time around at the minor expense of some atmosphere, which I do not object to in the least. A very well thought out transition from the outskirts of town to the centre itself, which reminded me a lot of the beginning of SH 2. Only objections were the backwards section and the split second where your view was blocked. Over all I likey![]()
Looking back on my very first SH track, it's clear to me now that it made a terrible Trials trackOriginally Posted by D2DahakaI wanted to change that right away. I put a lot of focus into making the line as smooth as possible and used a lot more custom collisions than I had in my previous tracks. The result is smooth as butter when hit properly.
With the new DLC sounds/ objects, I was able to realize a pretty believable Silent Hill universe. I knew I had to have two things in this track: the trademark siren before things get really dark and Pyramid Head. Honestly, the backwards part is only there so that the jump scare doesn't destroy your run. Can't screw up on that part if you're not moving
EDIT: I also updated the flyer I made to reflect the actual track name![]()
Got a new easy extreme track up called "Onstage." I had a lot of fun making this one.
Onstage is unique man. It's a little over my skill level though. I tried to get a run under 50 faults for about 45 mins and had to surrender. I did put some time in, I'm just not that good at the extremes yet. I would have liked to have seen some props move in the BG. Like the clouds come down or some other set piece change out.
Still a solid extreme track. 4*
Thanks for the feedback. I had actually considered what you suggested but ultimately went with a more simple, static look so it wasn't too terribly distracting. I had set out to make an extreme track that wouldn't make you want to pull your hair out. I'll have to try harder next timeOriginally Posted by CrowsBeak![]()
This felt like a quick easy project to me and had a decent line with just one awkward obstacle (for me anyway). Looked OK, Drove OK and it was original as most of your tracks tend to be. So nice job! Not your greatest, not your worst and good fun to play through. Hopefully you had fun making it and it motivates you to make some more when you're in the mood for it!![]()
