    Nas T 65's Nasty reviews...

Seems to me like the best way to get your track downloaded and played is to talk about it and have people give a review of it. However, so there is so much JUNK being cycled through track central that its hard to find good tracks, hope this thread like the others will help all that. There's lots of review threads popping up, and i want to help. But here is the catch...I'm not going to be nice about it I will Nasty, and harsh, with high expectations, don't ask me to review and expect me to tell you to apply at redlynx, it wont happen. I will rate 1 to 5. This being said, you can expect my review will be honest and genuinely helpful, should you listen. So we are all clear, I am running my reviews harshly like this, because i have met some stellar track and game builders who are making me better, guys like RickyReb and BlueMageFTW amongst others...and there are tons of people shouting "My track rules!" while its actually crap. I am not pretending to be a god in the builder, I'm doing this mainly to make MY tracks better, and yours too. So Here is the last catch...you must play and review my track as well. I don't care if your harsh back. Anyone not giving a legitimate review with real input, will not get one back, simple. Here is what to do...

    - post Gamertag, type, and track name on this forum ...AND... pm me (i will be looking at my inbox for who needs reviews (forum is for your publicity and post results, pm is where i will get the order for reviews, first in first out. You may also request my review only be posted to you in a PM. Also include whatever you feel about my track.

*pls remember although my expectations will be high, it will simply be my opinion, take it for what its worth and DO NOT FORGET, i will be harshly grilling your track in public, unless you request otherwise.

    *my track for current review*
    Name-WIPEOUT skills
    Creator/Gamertag- Nas T 65
Type-skill game (track based on faults)

**my next version of WIPEOUT, summer edition will be ready soon, for now pls review wipeout skills. thx

*** I am not a Ninja, but i do have one in my corner, so if you submit ninja or nearly ninja difficulty tracks, the review will be my friends AND my opinion, and may take longer to get the review back since i will have to coordinate with him.

Re: Nas T 65's Nasty reviews...

I'll review my own track first...

2.5 stars. I give this rating to my first track for many reasons.

    the Goods:
    1)very fun
    2)very challenging
    3)great idea
4)most physic stuff works pretty good
    5) obstacles tried to stay true to the show with as little adaptation for bike instead of 3d foot movement as possible
6)plays better than all other wipeout tracks ive seen, way longer, proper amount of obstacles per round, and much better mechanics.
7)popular, despite being not nearly as good as it could have been.

    the Bads:

    1) i sucked at lining up objects being new to the editor, so many things are off some or not centered etc. some things are ok, some look horrible.
2)there is nearly no visuals/decorations for background, was too worried about the play...
3)floating objects...i tried to make it look like things were held up with beams, but it wasnt enough for most things in the course.
    4) based on faults not time, done on purpose but not sure if it was right...
    5) my boxer/punch wall thingy operates poorly, some experience lag, some hate the positioning of the arms, i hate both, could not seem to make it better and kept it there instead of scraping it.
    6) wait time is too long on some obstacles
    7) spring at the end sometimes catches bike and rider rather than bouncing, tried but could not find flawless fix.
looks less like the show does than some other wipeouts ive seen

so...there we go...harsh but not mean, and all true in my opinion. this is how i will review your tracks as well, i will be picky but not offensive, i wont tell you quit building and kill yourself i promise...now...whos first?

Seems like you would have alot of typing when people ask you to review their tracks..i would ask you to rate mine but ive had alot of mixed opinions on them, and im more confused than ever..and,like probably most people,i dont like to hear a bad review even though im big enough to accept it..
    but....good luck to you..

I dont mind typing, what i do mind is that like shifty said on a different post, too many tracks are getting either 1 or 5 stars whether it sucks or is horrible...this review thread is about brutal truths and is mostly for builders who genuinely want to produce high quality tracks, and see what they are missing or doing to much of. this is not an ego boost thread. You wont get 4 stars here just because its..."kinda cool", and i wanna pretend to kinda like it when i didnt.

    Nas T 65's Nasty reviews...

TOA Achilles ( with a space after TOA). Track "LOG ON"
    Difficulty extreme

Tear it up. I just want to know if it can be speed ran.

A small frame drop in the beginning, but I know how to fix that from now on.

This is a good idea for reviews.

Re: Nas T 65's Nasty reviews...

well, visually very good with a mass array of obstacles which for a game like this, you need.I wanted to chuck my remote through the screen cos some parts just kept catching me out, again which is the whole idea for this type of game.you had good sound and effects at the correct places,i.e. applause, fireworks etc.my only real gripe is that towards the end I lost patience and couldn't be bothered.very frustrating.this is just my opinion though.and my kids were laughing at me getting mad..this is a game for a peticular gamer but on a whole,
4 stars I give it.purly for the work that's gone into it.also I could imagine my mates round and we all played this.it would be fun for a turn.I'm not onto the wipeout crack so I don't think I will play again.

my tip would be to shorten the track.make the general flow easier.don't put steps in a track without any aid to help you get up them.
