You know what obstacle I'm really sick of seeing:

Cars. Wow you can stick a car half way into the ground at an awkward angle? Or stick multiple cars together? That's pretty amazing. You and the millions of other people who do the exact same unimaginative thing allllll the time must be brilliant track creators.

The car is the worst thing to use as an obstacle in my opinion.
The edges of it are horrible!

I am using 4 cars as obstacles in my latest track.

Soooo.... Thanks OP, you've hurt my feelings and ruined my day. Just kidding. Well, about my day being ruined. I am really using the cars in the track, but I am using custom collisions to make sure everything is PERFECT about it.

Plus, it fits the theme of the run-down slum area.

Nothing wrong with cars if they fit within the theme of the track. The problem is when they are just random objects. Of course, the exact same thing can be said of any object in the editor.

I'm kind of tired of seeing stones. That seems to be everyone's go to object. Entire tracks made out of stones and rocks! YAY!!!

You're gonna hate my first track then (when it's out) But there are no chains And it has a side-scrolling platformer theme with pick-ups and boss battle
