I like the idea. I don't understand why you would use straight pieces for all your curves. Made it bumpy. The part with electricity where you are forced up is annoying since you have VERY little control which makes it difficult to not fault. And being dropped off after each afterburner section was a bit awkward. All these things just need more tweaking.
Fantastic first track, though![]()
I think I tried this the other day. Mostly black and white? Stationary camera?Originally Posted by Fecker
It was really cool idea, I was sold immediately. However the second or third jump (where you're flipped and asked to back track, very early on) I got stuck on. I gave it about 20 tries before rage quitting. Perhaps I was just hitting it wrong, but I remember being bummed I couldn't get to the rest of the track because it looked fun.
Thanks for the input guys, i know i did make it a bit too hard. I agree the afterburner is difficult to land and the trick with the first force area is to drive into it at speed and then pull back till your completely upside-down and then backflip off the bottom of the ramp, it can be pretty tricky to get your head around it. i actualy did use curved pieces they just kinda look straight beacause of the perspective i dont think i quite lined up the pieces quite right in places which does make it a little bumpy.
I did watch a few of the replays, i could just picture some of the people curseing me as they tried to get past the first force area, but i have to admit i did find it funny watching people try to escape the second force area only to be pulled back just as they nearly escape.
I think i might try to do another one in the same style but a bit easier
Thanks again for the feedback.
Might I suggest for your next track in this style that instead of showing the whole track all the time, you maybe bring the camera about 50% closer and when you reach a certain point the camera pans right to show more track?
I look forward to your next build![]()
Strangely enough thats what i was thinking about doing, except i was going to have several stationary cameras that would be cut to as you left/entered a new areaOriginally Posted by bobozilla
