Loaded Spring question.
Hello again guys, I'm working on my track right now and just remembered a comment I saw on Twitter the other day about how, "pre-loading a spring is a great way to launch the rider". I've been messing around with the 'Spring Physics Joint' but can't figure out how to place the pivot points, and whether or not to "combine" them..
Any suggestions/ideas would be awesome, thanks again in advance!!
Oh and by the way.. Some of the Top Downloaded track creators should be wicked proud of their work. Played a few last night and was amazed, great work Trials Heads haha

Re: Loaded Spring question.
That may have been my tweet
What I did was place a dummy object behind whatever it is you want to launch.
Place a physics joint and choose the dummy as part 1 and your other object as part 2.
Select Spring in the joint settings and a pivot will show up between the two.
Back out of the joint settings and press A on the pivot.
You can now move this back and the pivot will come apart.
Further back it goes the more force it has.
Now you just need to set up an area trigger a little distance in front of the rider.
Send the on hit impulse to a state event which turns off the joint.
This will make the rider free of the spring and just carries on.
I'll take a photo in a sec.
