in thd i baaarely could pass any track coined ninja.. in evo i pass almost all i try. culminating in today, playing Ninja Gaarten in Most dl this week. i zeroed it in a few tries. its ridiculously easy, and no special skill is needed. all you need to know is the appropriate way to do each obstacle..
id call this a circustrack, not a ninjatrack
Any obstacle should be clearable with a single technique even if it is "ninja".
If it's down to luck/fluke then there is no fun at all.
Congratulations, you have been promoted to Double-Plus Ninja!
99% of the ninja tracks I've played are complete and utter crap.
They are literally the same exact track over and over and over again.
They are composed entirely of gimmick obstacles that require stupid tricks to pass. Once you know the trick they are ridiculously easy. For example, the back wheel backwards hill climb, getting your back wheel caught between two bars, spamming x to rotate upwards. Just the same crap constantly.
And these tracks are ALWAYS in the highest rated.
yup thats the caliber i expect to see. i expect not to pass it. :/
That's because only the people that can be bothered to finish a track can rate it.Originally Posted by buttcheekofdeth

5* ratings can be quite skewed because of this.
I've played some awful tracks and just deleted them without finishing. If I'm not having fun then I am not going to try to complete it.
I work the opposite way. I often finish tracks just to be able to give them a bad rating.Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion

RedLynx should factor how much a particular dlc track is played into the rating. That kind of information don't lie. I'd play a fun track over and over again and never play a rubbish track more than once. Easy enough!
