Professional dominated everyone on week one of release
therefore?
Iv never spoke to Lestropie and i know this topic is a joke. But the fact Lestropie is sooo over rated makes me hate him.
I'm a n00b... care to fill me in on the inside joke?
yeah I know hes the best. I keep telling my friends who are better than me at basketball that I was probaly better than them the first times each of us ever played the game at all. I mean cmon makes sense right. How is Michael Jordan the best basketball player ever? Doesnt make any sense. He was terrible at it in high school. It was only when he displayed an inhuman lvl of commitment to the game that he was able to turn things around and go pro. So what im asking is shouldnt we be judging him by how good he was in high school. Cmon someone has to agree with me on this.
lestropie just got a lot of press because in the first 6 months of Trials HD he was way ahead of everyone, much more so than anyone else later on in the game. he was speedrunning the extremes when only a handful of people had 0 faulted them and so on..Originally Posted by HighDef
plus he stopped playing, which true or not, gave the impression that the only reason people caught up was because he stopped.
whether you see him as a legend or overrated is just your opinion, but remember you werent playing the game at that time![]()
its a joke because xProfessional is only near the top because he had an illegal copy of the game earlier than everyone else.Originally Posted by AgentBGC
He had the game before it was out. Therefore....
And why you make new account?![]()
I agree that practice can lead to great skill, but I will also argue that natural ability exists. Jordan's tenacity should be commended, but he's also built for the game and had a knack for reading the court. ( I believe that's what made him good, I'm more of a hockey guy.)Originally Posted by Slinky
Jordan was not good in highschool due to the fact he was not that tall. He had a major growth spurt later then normal. Correct me if i'm wrong.
You can put this in perspective since your a hockey fan,Originally Posted by Doxt
Chicago Hawks Player Patrick Kane sucked when he started playing in the NHL, he was a mere backup player for one of the 4th line wings, he then won rookie of the year from his commintment. Just because your a hockey fan ; )
I looked at Lestropie's Inferno 2 run the other day actually, and he still does it with so much skill.
Considering he STILL has a top 20 time on Inferno 2 after a month of the game being out, and it's now been 2 years is just actually incredible.
Yeah there are players better than him now, he stopped playing. But who knows, he could of been way up there if he was progressing just as all the pro's started progressing, he's just a legend of Trials now, and yeah all the pro's seem to be hating on him.
It's like this; take Sir Bobby Charlton, one of the most legendary football players. There are players better than him now, but he was so good at what he done way back when that makes him such an icon now, even though if he was playing today's football he would get wiped. Doesn't mean he sucks because there are people better than him, it's purely the fact of what they achieved in the time they had/the time they were around
