Select/Back means you start the race over. The race in a tournament = THE TOURNAMENT. Why would anyone want to restart the track that they're on with the added fault/time? It just makes no sense and is a HUGE pain in the arse when you have to mess around trying to restart a tournament now... hit Back, Up, A, A, A, A and finally you've started over.

Just pop up a box that says "Restart Tournament?" A for yes, B for no. That simple.

The select button is only useful on the first track in the tournament. For any other track, it is absolutely 100% pointless and stupid.

signed. It is not useless since your time gets reset. But for people speesrunning it's a pain and I don't even see benefits for normal people playing the track since your ranking is mainly influenced by your faults. That means that a really bad time and few faults is always better than a good time and a lot of faults.

At least it's an improvement over Trials HD. Now we can press BACK on the first track to reset the tournament fault count. In Trials HD you had to always go back to menus. Pressing BACK in longer tournaments by accident isn't fun, and I think that was the main reason why it's not included. But... we could have just added a confirmation dialog there (if BACK is pressed after the first track).

A suggestion that was made during the THD run was to have a start menu option for "restart tournament". I know that's unlikely to be added at this point, but it would make things much quicker, and prevent almost any accidental restarts from happening.

i dont thk a confirmation box is a good idea.

instances where Back accidentally is pressed occurs usually on tricky segments of the tracks. then when you exit the box you will most likely foult due to the momentum you carry.

I'm more put out by not being able to hit back at the results screen to restart a tournament.
Finishing a tourney and having to back out just to go back in seems odd to me.
