Checkpoints on Skill Games with no Driveline?
Can you have checkpoints in a skill game that doesn't use the drive line??
For example look at some of the marble skill games, in those the rider, bike and drive line are hidden off screen. The game character is the ball and you can move the ball in any direction you want around a designed course.
Is it possible to set checkpoints around this course where you can respawn if you fall off the edge etc.. without having to return the the very start??

With clever use of triggers and object positioning events, it is pretty easily doable. It would be faked, but have the same effect. I used the same concept to relocate the ball in my pinball game...
