We have an Acer projector down stairs.
However, its back at the factory while it is getting serviced
The blue power light went purple, and wouldn't turn back on...
Usually I play upstairs on the small tube TV in my room, because I don't want the bulb to
burn out from the daily grind of continuous play.
I don't think that is what happen with our projector though, we have had it less then 6 months.
Should have got a ViewSonic I guess...
Just got a new setup from a sale at Ikea 8)
nothing special here. just a 65inch led/lcd. nice tv. though I can see if someone is sneaking up to my house. but the projectors listed above are NOICE!
however, as you can see, everything I use is crammed into my office, so it looks a little tight.
I'm impressed FastNOC. I like the security cams too.
Our projector is cheap though, its only worth around $200 give or take online now. 800X600 - BUT, it is very bright
2700 lumensAs long as you don't go too big, you can't notice the resolution.
I believe after ours comes back from Acer after servicing we are upgrading to a 1280x800 (720p) ViewSonic for around $500. Same brightness as our old one too!

The above model in the link as on-board audio so you can use the built in speakers or you can direct the audio out of the unit to something else.
