While using an after burner event is it possible to have the fire invisible while retaining the force applied? Or do I have to use a directional force thing instead?

As far as I know, the fire effect will be visible as long as the bike is. When I made the bike invisible, the fire and smoke from the Afterburner vanished too.

If there's nothing in the Afterburner properties to disable it or turn down the Alpha, then you may have to define your own afterburner effect. Glue a directional force to the back of the bike, and copy the afterburner force settings (1700 force / 500 Damper - I THINK) into the Directional force. Obviously you'll need to set up a timer or a disable point, unless the Afterburner will be active for the whole track, like mine.
