I would actually like to see that switchover fault level be variable too: I think (i'm trying to remember some math from last week) what works out to give a nice about-100 points range at the switchover threshold would be a fault switchover of >=4 for beginner, >=5 for easy, >= 6 for medium, >= 10 for hard, and >= 23 for extreme.

But I do think the math is pretty good so far - the numbers I see are all pretty much working out exactly on a per track basis. Except for the total being a little off. That may just be a typo somewhere, either dyslexically switching a couple of numbers around or hitting a wrong key.
Or perhaps you had a good run on a track but forgot to write the score difference down, that's probably the first thing I would check. That could easily account for a 9k difference.

Yeah, I can see being frustrated with only a 800pt increase by dropping your Inferno III faults from 20 to 12. Here's to hoping they'll let us know the FF and "top time" for Test Your Might, getting <5 fault and then a 0-ft plat might be difficult!!!

Re: Finalizing a global score spreadsheet

id love to help you guys out, so you need thhe hard and extream gold to plat time and GR? dose the gold run have to be 0faultd(its not a problem if so)?
if 1 of you guys could reply by the time i wake up in about 10 hours from now.

i wont be able to do the tornys (well about 5 of them i can plat) but the rest are a pian in the ***.
explain what data you need from the tournys do faults matter or time.
like say i got a plat time but had 4 faults that would count as gold, then got a plat time with 0 fault but time was more than the time i got in the gold run with the plat time. would that be bad data?

id be glad to help you guys out so you need the gold to plat before and affter times and GR on hard and extream? do faults matter on the gold run?(its not a problem if you want 0f runs)

and the tournys i can plat 5 or so off them, you will have to explian what you want from these tournys though.
0 fault gold and plat runs?
    or 1f gold to a 0f plat?

if 1 of you masterminds could reply before i wake up in 10 or so hours that would be good.

    Night.

    Thanks for the offer, spoonfed

Don't need a gold time except for the tournies, which need 1-5 faults too (just to confirm their "fault factor").

But for the tracks needing a platinum run, any plat run will do. Just make sure to note down what your original time at that track and global score was before you start going for an improved plat, then the time and score after you get it.

And make sure to double check the original post to see what the latest remaining tracks are we need data for

    thanks!

need to catch some z's myself now. night!

Re: Finalizing a global score spreadsheet

After cleaning up my spreadsheet I fired it off to MegaTrain so he could review it himself with all his recorded data. Good thing I did! He found that RedLynx Moto-Jam is an anomoly, even though it's a Hard track it uses the fault factor that the other Mediums use (0.4 instead of 0.5). I hate that track, so didn't actually have any numbers for it and was ASSuming it would have the same coefficients as other Hard tracks.

Once we plug that number in my score is 100% matched (except for a couple of -1 rounding errors). So that's great, it means we've got the scoring method nailed down.

So, Jorma, can we get "100% times" and confirmed "fault factors" for the extremes and tournaments? That's all we need to complete the spreadsheet, and they're obviously tougher for us to find on our own. Thanks!!
