I have both and Trials Evolution is so much better. The only reason Minecraft sold more copies is because it has a bigger fanbase.

I bet alot more Trials players have tried Minecraft than Minecraft players have even heard/tried of Trials.

Exactly. It's not really a fair contest.

Not sure why it's big enough news to be a thread, but I'm not surprised at all.

The people that said they thought Trials would outsell Minecraft were judging by their knowledge of how much more deserving Trials is of that title than Minecraft. Trials is more fun, more rewarding, allows more creativity (there's something to laugh about; MC's biggest hook is creativity, but gets its *** kicked by Trials in that department.)

Out of the people I know that have played MC and/or Trials, most of the time Trials led to the most instant-addiction, and Minecraft led to start and stop sessions until they eased into starting to have fun with it. I had those same experiences with the games.

If Trials had more exposure, the numbers would be a bit closer. But I still don't think it would win. Why? Because Minecraft is more casual. Minecraft is more social. Minecraft is less competitive or challenging. Minecraft is easy enough to play with your two year old child, or 80 year old grandmother. Do you know what else is played by millions of people? Farmville. Minecraft also caters to those that need a bigger challenge, too, though.

But it's still not as adrenaline-packed as Trials. And I doubt many hardcore Minecraft players would be able to take what Trials throws at them. And do you know what? Maybe I'm not so heartbroken about that. I can proudly thrive in a game that kicks casual players' asses.

Minecraft is awesome fun, especially in multiplayer.

But only about 3.5% of MCs existing fanbase had to buy the game to reach 1 000 000, the percentage for TEvo is over 50%.

I agree, I can sit and play the game for hours and have fun, especially online. I even play hours past the point of having fun. But overall, I don't think I've ever reached the level of fun in MC that I experience when I play Trials. MC satisfies my boredom in a different way. It's like a slow, controlled flow of fun. While Trials is fun as soon as I pick it up, but I get burned out on it faster each day.

In summary, I play Trials until it's too much for me, then I play Minecraft until my eyes hurt.

Now, if there were more multiplayer creative collaboration in Trials...

Some of you guys dissapoint me.

Stating that Minecraft is crap and no fun and has less creativity than Trials Evo. It's your opinion! But I expected this forum to bash on Minecraft because after all this is the Trials Evo forum. But it's just funny to see how you guys react at this. XD

They're both different games though, Trials is racing and Minecraft about creating whatever you want.

Minecraft is an amazing game and you can build amazing stuff, have awesome adventures with friends and do fun stuff! Trials Evo is fun too but tbh, I have more fun in Minecraft than in Trials Evo.

Still, I like them both a lot. And to the guys who say it's like lego... Seriously? What are you? Little children?

I haven't played it but it looks just like Lego. Just my opinion.
And I am not a child thank you very much.
So you made a thread on these forums just to provoke a reaction from the community?
You may well be the one with growing up to do.

Re: Wait a second... You were wrong! LOL! XD

I bought MC for xbox because one of my good friends who can't run it on his PC wanted to play. After playing the PC multiplayer version with a number of people on this forum, I don't think I could ever go back to single player, so the only time I play is when my friend is online.

As for popularity, MC appeals to a much broader audience than Evo - there are plenty of hardcore MC players (most of them probably still prefer the PC), but the casual market is huge. Plus, MC has had the opportunity to build up for release for what, a year and a half since the beta came out?

The interesting part for both games will be to see what the numbers are like for people still playing the game after 6 months or a year. Both games hope to release DLC sometime in the future, and I'm sure that will affect numbers, but it's going to be tough for both games to hold on to their audiences.

Nah, it's just funny to see how you guys try to defend this game. I think that if Trials Evo would have gotten more sales most people on here probably would say it was a fair contest.

Not that it was a contest already, that's what the guys who made the "sales" thread made out of it.

But I'm just there for the lulz.

    Dun hate me. :3
