Help with controls of my Construction Crane
I have built a construction tower crane but am having problems with the controls after checkpoints. A platform hangs from the crane boom with a some point 2 point joints and a slider joint. The boom is connected to the tower with a 180 hinge joint. Every thing works out fine if you don't crash, hop on platform, platform moves to building under construction, hop of platform and boom and platform swing 180 degrees and is ready for your departure from building.
Problems:
- If you fall from first sliding platform and return to check point, the platform is already moving and you cant get to it (check point is at edge before moving platform).
- If you restart at checkpoint on the building you have to wait for crane to swing around when it should already be there waiting.
- how do I get the crane boom to depart slowly, accelerate and then decelerate as it ends it's swing (at 50 it take about 6 sec now).

I'm guessing your using some form of Object Positioning Event, Curved Data Source and Impulse Trigger to get the rotation. I'd recommend maybe going into the curved data source settings and change it to Quadratic Ease In Out (or one of the other quadratic functions). I've found this good for the rotation of a cliche Texan Oil Pump. The Curved data source starts at zero and as it goes through the number of ticks, it accelerates. When it gets toward the end, it then decelerates.
