...before calling me a moron and say there is no global ranking for TC as it would be heavily abused. Hear me out. A global ranking ONLY for redlynx picks. That would completely solve the abuse potential.
i have fun in TC, do not get me wrong. Also, to have a leaderboard for every custom track is just insane and something i thought i would never see. i just would have even more fun re-playing all those custom tracks and trying to get my global rank up. Could this be added in an update or am i the select few who would really want to see this?
i have not seen mention of this since the release of evo and i'm a big lurker. oh, and sorry for grammar.
I actually like this idea. but only if it was separate from the normal leaderboards. There would just be too many tracks to keep track of.
I agree. separate global ranking boards. i just now thought of this a bit more. how would scoring work? heck, i have a hard time understanding how it works period. so how could they apply this points system to every redlynx picked custom track when redlynx are not the creators of said track? i mean i'm sure it could be done but how much resources would that take? i'm rambling now and having a hard time understanding what i write as i really have no idea what would be required to do this. but thanks for not calling me an idiot.Originally Posted by TwinTempests
This would never work.
Half of the Redlynx picks are gimmick tracks that don't even have a real driving line. That fact alone ruins this idea.

The current RedLynx picks is a mix of all kinds of tracks and skill games. We would need more categories of RedLynx picks for this to work. "Gimmicks", "Good Gameplay", "Skill Games", etc... The Dragon track for example is impossible to zero fault, and the track where you drop through lots of windows has too many random faults (and occasions where you cannot even see yourself). I would personally want a section for tracks dedicated for pure polished game play. Some players (I would say majority based on the star ratings) are enjoying the gimmick tracks a lot, but we hardcore players usually prefer solid gameplay over gimmicks.
i dislike the gimmick tracks very much. and those account for like 90% of the ones ive downloaded so far.
i need a way to filter the nonsense from the real tracks.
@sebbbi - That would be nice to see. Check the RedLynx Picks thread. People (at least the guys here) would love to see some less "gimmicky" tracks make it in the picks.
@all - sebbbi's post isn't promising different categories of RedLynx Picks.

Exactly, it would be whoever went through and played ALL of these tracks. Most of them are just a beginner driveline with crazy visuals and super detailed backgrounds.Originally Posted by buttcheekofdeth
