the wreck and dark city plat times

Hey guys, I know from reading previous posts that the time limits for platinums get more lenient as the difficulty goes up, but for the wreck and dark city run it seems like you just have to zero fault them, time's not an issue. On the wreck I'm currently at 2 faults 50 seconds and I wouldn't say I'm that good, certainly not '25 seconds quicker than platinum' good.

Anyone know of a reason for this? Seems like there should be an extra set of medals to accomodate zero faults and a freaking awesome time! Call them, I dunno, ninja perhaps?

I'd assume it's because it's already an awesome feat to be able to zero-fault it. It's lenient for the people that take it slow to achieve 0 faults.

The medals that people get when they take it fast and 0 fault it is called "high on the leaderboard."

Lol, ok I guess you're right on the extra medals but I still think the time limit is too lenient on those 2 tracks, especially the wreck!

As I said, I'm not that good a player, ive only got one time in the top 1000 (trash talk tourney), yet I'm so close to platinum on the wreck it hurts, both my faults on that track were down to me choking on the final jump to the finish, a jump I make first time normally!

ouch! what a crappy place to fault (ive done it too).

dont fool yourself though. if you can 0 fault The Wreck you are a good player. if you put the amount of dedication into some other tracks that you have this one (to 0 fault i mean), then you can achieve top 1000 times on a bunch of tracks im sure.

just stay away from Beginner and Easy because more scrubs work on those and its harder to place high. Med-Hard would be the sweet spot. pretty easy to get top 1000 times there with good runs. Expert as well.

Thanks for the advice matty, still need to get a lot of platinums on the second sets of med and hard so will hopefully break the top 1000 when I go back through them. My next goal is to break the top 2000 for global rankings, 2150ish at the moment, not too far to go

It's the same with the way of the ninja. I think its 03.50 for platinum but the top players are on like 1.40. I have like 2 something. I suppose it's better that way so more people have a chance of getting it cos the extreme tracks are really hard.

Yeah i just knocked off one fault and a minute off my way of the ninja score. Still a minute off the plat time but I've still got 18 faults so I know there's plenty of time left in there. It's the little things on that track that I end up using the most faults on, the big set-pieces I can usually get through 1st or 2nd time. So frustrating.
