Gluing tons of objects makes some objects unselectable?

Well I have probably over a hundred objects glued, because they aren't physics enabled, there is no slowdown/lag. Basically my whole level needs to be glued for my gimmick to work, but multiple glue groups is fine (and what I have, one big one and one small one I just started). Note that Grouped objects will not work.

So I've gotten 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through the short level gluing almost all objects on the driving line, and it's worked fine until now. Now then I try to select and object, it doesn't highlight and then I press A it selects objects the I placed a few objects before that object. But it's different with different objects- ie if I try to select one object it goes to a rail and selects that instead, or if I go to select something else it selects the object I placed before the rail, if that makes any sense.

I need this not to happen if I am to finish my track, so I sure could use some help!
feel free to ask if you need more details.

I don't know if this is an actual issue that I should put under known issues, or if it's solvable, so it's in this part of the forums for now.

Heh same problem with the ferris wheel, when doing the spokes if one needed to be adjusted in the glue group I had to put the curser over the spoke to the right of the one I wanted. I just worked around this weird anomally. I thought it was due to glue group size as well. It's u eight pain in the behind tho.

sounds like we have the same issue, when I go outside of any glue group, everything works normally, but I can't make my track work like this. And I'm in the second group btw, still having the same problem.

Use the area select tool, that should do the trick.

If they don't have physics, why are they glued? Do you activate their physics? If not, just Group them.

Thanks for your help everybody! But...

They are glued because they use the object animation tool or whatever it's called is used to turn the track. This will not work with grouping, each object turns individually.

Use the area select tool, that should do the trick.

I'll try out the area selector, but even if this does work, it would be impractical to make the other 1/2 to 2/3s of my track using that for all the selection yikes.... unless there's some hotkey thing I don't know about.

The below works for grouped objects, so I think it should work for glued as well ... haven't tried it that way.

Hold down LB and put the cursor over one of the grouped objects, but don't select it yet. Wait about 3 seconds, and you should see the entire group highlight. Then when you select, the entire group should be selected.

I'll put this under known issues since there doesn't seem to be a real solution that anyone know off the top of their heads...
