Decoration only question
Does changing an object to decoration only actually help if the physics for that object is not on anyways? Getting too many physic objects message In Areas that are far less complex than other areas with no warnings. Also I have an area with six pistons running that lags but. I warnings and do t want to delete pistons. Right next to this area I have 11physics objects with joints and they operate fine..please any advice?

Re: Decoration only question
I'm pretty sure it does help, but I don't know how much exactly. Consider that for each physical object in your track, the game needs to figure out what other physical objects might come into contact with it. Even if the object is off the driving line, the game will need to do extra calculations for it, in case some stray piece of wood should happen to fly through the air and strike it.

Re: Decoration only question
I saw a developer post in another thread a few days ago which said the decoration only setting helps with frame rate issues where the game lags. It has zero impact on the overall complexity meter of a track. Now, as far as the physic object warning, I am dealing with the same thing on a track I'm building. I have set everything not on the driving line to deco, and areas with physics have no warnings and areas with no physics are lagged and flashing the red text like crazy.
