Has anyone noticed that there is a huge difficulty gap between the last "Hard" tracks to the "Extreme" tracks. I was thinking it would be nice to have another events list with tracks that are easier than "extreme" but harder that "hard". I feel like anyone who buys the game can beat all the hard tracks, but many can't beat the extreme tracks. It would also be noce to just have some more tracks in the game.
I agree that there is a bit of a skill jump between the two. But as to your last point, there are thousands and thousands of tracks in track central. Some of them are superb.
Idk, I find Bridge of Trials harder than Truth's Out There and Fishy Business. After playing some T2 SE tracks, I feel like we were babied with the extremes. Somebody NEEDS to do a remake of Diabolic. That track looks ridiculous.Originally Posted by LukeMSki
This has been mentioned in another topic, and I reckon The Truth Is Out There fits this category.
Also, the second set of 'Hard' tracks is notably harder than the first, so I think they've got the difficulty curve just right.
I can 0 fault the first 2 extremes FAR more consistently than Bridge of Trials or Groundhog. Bridge of Trials is a nightmare to 0 fault consistently for me.
I agree with you with the difficulty cos there is, as you mentioned two sets of hard tracks, so i think everything is just right!!!Originally Posted by JaminBen007
I agree that with the fact that Truth is Out There being easier. I would like to see more tracks like Truth is Out There, Groundhog Asylum and Bridge of Trials. I also think that many of Way of the Ninja's obstacles arent particularly difficult on their own but the length makes it difficult to get good whole runs on it.Originally Posted by JaminBen007
I find it a huge step up from Trials HD in that department. I remember getting my *** handed to me when I moved up to hard, and then to Extreme. Having two sets of hard in this one should be plenty.
If you're not doing good on the Extreme tracks, then they're doing their job. It's not supposed to be a buttery smooth transition, it's supposed to challenge you. You're supposed to look at an obstacle and think it's ridiculous, and then ultimately find the small window of controller input that gets you past it. Then you keep coming back to get better and better at the level. There's your training.
Yeah agreed, I think the transition between Hard and Extreme in Evo is actually handled well by that second group of Hards. Groundhog Asylum and Bridge of Trials in Evo are like Classic and King of the Hill in HD: harder than the other Hards but not quite Extreme.
I share this sentiment. Bridge of Trials was a ***** to Plat.Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid
In fact, I think the OP's concerns were consciously addressed by RedLynx, if to a fault. The Truth is Out There is no extreme by Trials HD standards, and generally the difficulty was dumb-downed. There are numerous Hard's in HD that I think more difficult than probably 4 Extremes in Evo. And granted I'm a better player than I was during most of my HD playing time, but there are a dozen or more tracks there that I couldn't have dreamed of 0 faulting; in Evo, there are only 3 tracks I've yet to 0 fault.
