I see that about 2500 players have the maximum distance 753 meters or something on Icarus.
Are they all using some kind of autofire joystick or is it possible with a "normal" controller?
Sad really that this skillgame is totally ****** now.
Also on Sphere I see a player that has an awesome run and clears the track in about 2.30 while the top player finishes it about a minute later but in someway he manages to get a little longer distance (weird since the distance should be the same when you cross the finishline) and therefore tops the leaderboard.
I got 600+ meters without a modded controller, so I think 700 is possible.
on the ski jump, flap ur wings game.
i got just over 700. with a normal controller. shoot more upwards, and then use BOTH hands to push the buttons (x,y). dont worry about the direction of the stick, as long as you press the buttons fast enough, you will fly with the power of 1.000 suns! haha![]()
It is possible with a normal controller using the following techniques:
- Finger Vibrations (used in stepmania and FFR)
- Vibrator
- "Pencil & Tape" Technique
- Rock Band Drumkit
The majority of the players with a max score on Icarus Factor, however, have used "rapidfire" controllers.
Ok yeah I figured that was the case.
Any thughts about the Sphere issue?
Must be pretty annoying getting to the finish one minute ahead of number 1 only to realise that somehow number 1 managed to get a foot longer.
I don't even play S.P.H.E.R.E and that annoys the hell out of me that King Mamba got such a SICK time with brilliant timesavers yet isn't rank 1.Originally Posted by wmadoss
I managed to reach the max distance in about 10 tries. I did it by using both my thumbs on X and Y really fast. But I have seen alot of modded controllers as well on the scoreboreds that go right to the edge of the map.
Yeah thats really annoyingOriginally Posted by KyoshiYozimasmall mistake on the skill games. I guess they didn't notice it when testing because its so hard to make it to the finish line (at least in S.P.H.E.R.E).. they could still maybe fix it (first manually and then with a patch) so that everyone who has made it to the finish has the same distance.
Kinda weird though that they missed such an easy thing ie setting a definite length when theres a finish line, and in Icarus where there is no obvious "goal" there is a set maximum length.Originally Posted by ToMeSS
Skill games were glitches in hd too. On both ski jumps there were issues. First one the leaders collided with the air and sailed to the bottom. Second one was you'd hit that side wall all the time. Always on your best jumps. It was a miracle to not hit that most times. I don't see these getting fixed. If their history is an indicator. But u still love them.
