I've seen it suggested on this forum that when you rate a track from Track Central then delete it afterwards that your rating doesn't count towards the overall rating. I think this was just speculation, but it got me thinking. I REALLY hope this is not the case, but I wonder if anyone knows for sure, or if a dev can comment.
I also noticed that you can vote zero stars, and have done so a couple of times. Is this supposed to be an option, and does it actually vote zero, or is it the same thing as passing on a vote?
Rating is done on the server and has nothing to do about you local content.
Deleting the local content only makes the game forget what rating you gave to the track (local information) and that's why your own stars are not shown when downloading the track again.
Thanks for the reply, Jorma. I'm relieved! I assume that deleting and re-downloading won't allow someone to double-rate a track? I'm just asking because, without making any direct accusations, I've seen some very strange ratings.
Oh, and about that zero-star thing... is that a legitimate rating?
I would love to know this too as rating 1 star for a track that deserves none is annoyingOriginally Posted by Skysaw
