    In-game currency analysis

So while I was recording the scores for each level (in preparation for the EVO version of my Trials scoring spreadsheet) I also recorded the prize money for each medal on each track. Here is what I found. First post will have some summary data, following posts will include some further detail and analysis.

Total cost of all in-game purchasable items: $369,632
    ($303,832 rider gear + $65,800 bike parts)

Total prize money for each of the following:

"Grind" (completion bonus) for all tracks, skill games, tournaments: $25,065
Bronze medal bonus on all tracks, skill games, tournaments: $52,560
Silver medal bonus on all tracks, skill games, tournaments: $77,225
Gold medal bonus on all tracks, skill games, tournaments: $104,040
Platinum medal bonus on all tracks, skill games, tournaments: $104,040
(Platinum medals appear to pay the same as Gold medals, at least the ones I've gotten so far.)

So the bare minimum money you would earn while getting a gold medal on each track/skill game/tourney would be:
    Grind + Bronze + Silver + Gold
    = $25,065 + $52,560 + $77,225 + $104,040
    = $258,890

Beyond that, lets say you run each track 4 more times in an attempt to get the Platinum (but fail to actually get any platinums):
    = $258,890 + (4 * $25,065)
    = $359,150
Which is nearly enough to purchase all items.

If you do, in fact, get platinums on all tracks, that would be
    = $359,150 + $104,040
    = $463,190

Note you can also earn prize money for advancing through the multiplayer rankings (don't recall how much the lower levels were, but once you get up in the 30s, it is $800-$900 per rank).

    Trivia:
It is not necessary to go to the summary screen to get the grind value. Just make sure to cross the finish line, then you can restart.

Best grind value (dollars earned per second, based on a platinum run):
    Fishy Business: $16.60 per second
    Home Run: $15.76 per second
    Groundhog Asylum: $14.77 per second
    Logging On: $14.71 per second
Truth is Out There: $14.10 per second

Worst grind value (dollars earned per second, based on a platinum run):
    Gigatrack: $0.86 per second
    Oil Crisis: $2.76 per second
    Ridinghood: $2.82 per second
    Roller Coaster: $2.82 per second
    Titan Graveyard: $2.90 per second

Tournament grind value is much less than the total for the included tracks, so play the individual tracks if you are going for grind value:

Best tournament grind value (dollars earned per second, based on a platinum run):
    Enduro: $3.36 per second
    Trash Talk: $3.15 per second
    Urban Legends: $3.04 per second

Worst tournament grind value (dollars earned per second, based on a platinum run):
    Fantastic Voyages: $0.37 per second
    Cutting Corners: $0.49 per second
    Scenic Route: $0.51 per second

More to come a little later...

Yeah Redlyncx should of really put some more expensive gear in the game, things that would cost over $1,,000,000 would be cool!

    Commentary:

While its nice to be able to purchase EVERYTHING, I don't know if that is really a necessary element, since we can only wear one "outfit" at a time, and its not likely that we will switch all the time.

They could have made it so that we could simply have purchased the one outfit we wanted. I hope that the DLC brings some much more expensive options, so that we have to save up, and carefully decide which one we want, instead of being able to literally purchase everything in the game.

Although I think $1m is way too much, that's a whole lot of grinding, over and above getting plats on everything!!

A solid gold bike and a squirrel outfit with a superhero cape! Haha - I'd pay a $1m for that!

Some nice numbers there, good to see another maths geek

IMHO, they should have got rid of the "grind" bonus, and only awarded cash for getting medals. Then, they should have matched the total cost of rider and bike accessories with the total amount you could win, therefore the only way to purchase everything would be to get platinum on all tracks.

best idea I've seen posted on this forum so far. This idea is full to the brim of WIN! although I'd prefer the cape to be a seperate item.

I want to play as a skeleton. And I want bones to break off when I crash.

I want to play as Ghandi. Because Ghandi on a motorcycle would rock.
