The graphics put me off. I know that for PC there are scenery mods but they always get deleted. As a retro gamer as well graphic is not the most important thing in the world but especially in a game where you are creating something you want it to look nice.
I think such a popular game has the resources to invest in at least middle range graphics. Just my 2cents.
I've been slain by a lair of spiders and I just can't get my stuff back!
I first started playing minecraft over a year ago on the PC, but one of my friends convinced me to pick it up on xbox so we could play together. After playing the PC version, the xbox version is a little underwhelming, but it's nice to play with friends. interested to see what kind of dlc mc gets.

They are going to keep updating the game with patches so it will eventually catch up to the PC version!Originally Posted by lespritdelescalier
The blocky graphics of Minecraft is one of the main things that makes the game so great.Originally Posted by Happyflow
The graphics really aren't that bad in reality. It has better lighting/particle effects than some XBox games. The ultra-low res textures might look bad, but that's kind of what gives MC it's personality. Not to mention you get used to it. Honestly, I don't know how much I'd enjoy the game if it tried to take itself so seriously.Originally Posted by Happyflow
I got the XBox version a couple days after it was released. I prefer the PC version in most ways, but I don't like the XBox version any less because of that comparison. It will be much better when they get to v1.8+ though.
I still prefer Trials Evo in terms of fun and pick-up-and-play-and-have-to-force-self-to-put-down.
Minecraft makes it easy to play past the point of having fun, and then hours later you realize your whole body and eyes hurt and that you stopped having fun two hours ago. But you don't care, and you still play it more the next day.
I know that it is an own graphical style. Still things could look so much greater and better with full resolution textures
(as proven by a lot of pc modifications). It would basically be no problem to integrate those but you are unable to update if they are installed (as of what my friend told me).
I played it but for some reason I still sympathize playing some Domino over building stuff in minecraft.
I feel limited by the possibilities minecraft provides me with. Since you can only build stuff but do not have a
customized effect on the world itself (or basically just a very, very little one).
I don't know what you're talking about, and you friend is a liar.Originally Posted by Happyflow![]()
Basically I was just saying that Minecraft is not a challenging enough game for me.
It requires too much endurance and I'd much rather have an intellectual challenge like in the Trials Evolution and Warcraft 3 editor. Only building with friends makes fun for me in this game. I just dislike the block fundament of the editor.
Btw. I took that what my friend said with a grain of salt anyway. He is not the most tech savy but didn't intend to lie. He is by the way playing a lot of Minecraft soil am kinda sucked into it sometimes.
