clock tower was a-ma-ZING! from first tic to last tac, i smiled all the way. awesome design, awesome line.
loop was easy np once you figured out the bodylean. sick level
I also was not a fan of the loop. It was easy once you figured it out, but it was still a weird obstacle that didn't really make sense. I should be able to figure out how to do an obstacle by looking at it, not through trial and error. The normal strategy for a loop is to lean back, but it was the opposite for yours, which just felt really weird.
Once you know how to do it it becomes kind of pointless since it is ridiculously easy.
Rest of the track was amazing though.
So, since the loop is a sort of a pesky part with my track would it then be worth while to replace it with a different/better obstacle and reupload the track as version 2?
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.Originally Posted by Slatonator

Its not that big of a deal once you know how to do it.
Checked out your tracks a day or 2 ago and I'd say I'm digging Natural Flow the most from you, great line and great visuals. Clock Tower is also pretty slick. Looking forward to more!
Clock Tower - What an amazing track! Just WOW![]()
Hey played your new "Clock Tower" track and it is a good track to Clock work especially with the clock ticking sound and nothing else although at times it seemed empty without and other sounds but still good. I think it was handled well with the driving line but as optik4 said i agree too about that minor imbalance with the loop. Maybe you could have extended track a little further from the top too and in some places background and detail were both missing when outside maybe other clock towers collapsing around you or something other than that nice.![]()
I wonder why so adamant about that? I'm not making another version of Clock Tower, for what it's worth, since this one got a RL Pick (YAY!!), but I'd wager that multiple tracks being released, then made better each time until you have a absolute perfect track wouldn't be so bad, just have a few minor issues. IMO, I'd rather have to search more but be able to find a perfect track amongst some clearly labeled versions, than playing a single, imperfect version of a track with some issues. I'd think biggest problem is the unavoidable leaderboard issues. But if you do it quickly not too many people scores will be 'versioned' out. So depending on how minor I'd say that it wouldn't be that bad to version out your stuff, assuming that you're not going from utter garbage through 20 versions to get to a decent track.Originally Posted by buttcheekofdeth

If you did release another version of clocktower, it would get into the highest rated again. You would then have two versions of the same track in the highest rated. Theoretically you are now stopping a good track from getting into the highest rated since you are taking up an extra space. Other tracks are now being negatively affected because you made a mistake.Originally Posted by Slatonator
Besides that, most people agree that releasing different versions of the same track reflects very badly on the creator. It makes it seem as if you rushed the track and did not test it enough.
