    Help: Checkpoint Problems. [Solved]

I'm having a problem with checkpoints triggering in the correct order I want.

I'm making a straight track with no curve in the driving line. The problem is part of my track has you rolling backwards down hill before you can progress in the track. When you roll backwards it takes you back towards to the starting point but you're much lower in altitude than where you started the track. The checkpoints I place after this point are already triggered by the time I get there and don't do any good if I wreck, I'll respawn at the checkpoint I last triggered which is before I started rolling backwards down the hill.

Is there a way to make it so those checkpoints aren't triggered before I get to that part of the track?

I hope this makes sense, I'm horrible at explaining things.

make sure the white lines (CP trigger area) coming from the CP aren't above where you want them to be.

From my experience in HD, the game recognizes a left to right linear progression. So if the lower backtrack checkpoint is before the above one the game is going to recognize it as, you have already gotten farther on the track. Ie:above is at 60m and below is at 55m due to backtrack. The game will recognize the one at 60 as a further progression than the lower. Evem though on you track the 55 is further from start. Make lower on just a little further and double check the CP area lines and make sure the are not going all the way up amd should fix it. On phone so proofreadin rough...hope it made sense.

Hmm. Can it be something else?

Or maybe I'm still not doing something right. My white checkpoint lines go from the checkpoint to the spot I'll respawn at on the track and to the object above that spot on the track. They aren't above where where I want them on the track, the checkpoints themselves are the same altitude/level with the spot I want to respawn at on the track.

Just as Topside said, you gotta pass the CPs in order. If CP 2 is below CP1 & 3, then when you pass 3 it renders 2 useless.

Ok, my bad, I misread what you were both saying. I thought there was a way around that I wasn't seeing. I'll just re-work the checkpoints and track a little.

Thanks to the both of you for the help, really appreciate it.
