Could a maximum per week upload number be established? Maybe 3? If you are uploading more than 3 tracks a week, odds are, not a lot of time is spent on them. If this was enforced in game it would control the spam of irrelevant maps to some extent.
I agree!
Now I'm no track building genius, but I feel quite confident in saying that my first attempt is far better than most and I've only managed 300+ downloads so I don't understand how some of the poor ones get so many downloads at 10000+??

My son is 10 and loves to build tracks. If he had his way, he would be bestowing 5 wonderful gems a day. But I play test his before I let him upload to help filter. I swear he had a 150m track that shoulda been called rodeo ride. It had 30 spline points in that 150m that I swear is to buck the rider off. I love that he is being creative, but there are 10's of 1000's or more 10 year olds just like him. They are releasing thier gems to us unfiltered at an astonishing rate. It needs mitigated.
Just name your track:
Golf
Oh my god
Achievement track
Test please don't download
Or anything similar, and accompany it with a really obscure thumbnail and voila... instant hit.
Unfortunately a lot of good tracks have been lost amongst the masses.
Here's hoping it'll get better with time.
Name your map "Xtreme Ninja Hill Climb", take a generic pic of a steep hill, and just watch the downloads rack up.
It really pees me off, seeing a load of tripe with 10,000's of plays. Even a boring one with terrain modified ramps and sharp 90 degree angled turns got on the most downloaded.
Yet mine, which I spent about 10 hours decorating the scenery, gets 150 downloads and about 7 people on the leaderboards?! I know it's not 'fantastic' and it's quite short, but I think it's quite clear that I put alot more time and effort into it than the daily BS that gets 1,000's more plays than mine.
Some tracks get noticed, some don't. It's as simple as that. The people don't judge the track by how many hours the creator used to make it, but by the title, description and preview image. I have to admit, it's quite annoying when "PLAY THIS BASKETBALL RATE 5!!!!!!one" gets the top spot, but that's just how it is.Originally Posted by carano
Its hard enough trying to get people on the forums to try a track and leave feedback. The sheer number of tracks on here is bad enough, but track central is crazy. Its just impossible to find anything worth riding unless its in top rated or advertised on the forums. I dont know what the answer is, but I sure feel your frustration.
Tried this with my ferris wheel but made. 1 fatal mistake.JediJunky wrote:

I put it it on the ground. This must be why my downloads are so low![]()
