Cannot start Trials Evolution | Forums

Every now and then when I try to start the game, instead of just starting, a box pops up with a that sems to be a message from the Marketplace since it has a red x at the top which has Xbox Live Marketplace next to it. The message in the window says "Can't launch Trials Evolution." It doesn't happen every time, just now and then. If I back out of the quickplay section and go back in, it seems to work properly again.

I play this game more than any other game I own so it's always in the quickplay section of my dashboard and that's where I launch it from. I don't know if it does this when I just go to the My Games section or not because I have around 150 arcade games and don' really want to have to scroll through them all to get to it. I haven't seen it do this with any other games either. It's not really a huge deal since it only happens occasionally but it is a little annoying sometimes.

I have a 250 GB Xbox 360 S with Kinect, official ontrollers and no other peripherals attached.

Are you by any chance in the console beta? I've noticed the same problem, and I'm wondering if that's why.

I'm guessing you start your xbox, rush to quickplay and press A, knowing trials is first. I do too and when I do there seems to be a lag occuring that prevents the game launching. It seems as if the system simply requires you to "pause" before pressing A. I bet if you wait before clicking on trials, the problem will stop. Likewise, I be tif another arcade game was in that slot, you would have the same issue.

But thats just my working theory! lol

Exactly what Barry said. It also happens if you dashboard and quickly try to load up a game.

Agree with Barry, happens to me sometimes. It seems they have pushed the dashboard to the limits of the console...lots of things are slow/need patience...

Sounds like Barry has hit the nail on the head, if that doesn't work, try deleting then re downloading the game.
