Hey all,
I just registered to this community tonight and am hoping to drum up some interest in my second track. To be honest I'm a little disappointed because no one has made it up on the leaderboard yet, and I'm looking to share it with people who are really looking for a challenge.
Sorry I don't have better screenshots of the track right now but here's the info you'd need to find it:
Author: Elipsis
Title: Hotdog Island
Type: Trials
Difficulty: Extreme

I tried to do some very challenging things but keep the track fair with appropriate checkpoints. My own personal goal is to get the gold medal, which at 80 faults is something I haven't quite managed yet... this is coming from someone who has all the golds on the official tracks, but I'm not good enough to get more than a handful of platinums. From my perspective the platinum is so hard that I'm tempted to put a cash bounty on it, but regardless I'd love to see how some of you truly elite players handle the track.
Let me know what you guys think.
I'm far Forman elite player but challenge accepted.

Just tried it got to the bit in the main photo with the Bomb on the tower. Spend over 15 mins in that spot couldn't get it and timed out.
I'll try again if I got a spare half hour but I think you need to find someone else to have a crack at it.

yep, i got to the tower with the bomb on top, with under 10 faults. then timed out. i think this is whats stopping ppl from completing the track.
with the tower, its more luck than skill.
mabe make the ledge before the tower a little bigger. then everyone has a fair chance of competing, not just the "super skilled".
apart from the tower, its a solid level 2 ninja, imo. (The tower L 3-4).
great track tho![]()
Thanks for the feedback so far guys.
If you're getting to what my roommate affectionately calls "My Beloved Antenna Bomb", you're bumping into what I think is maybe the 2nd or 3rd hardest jump on the track. Good job to both of you getting past the explosive crate between the little pipes - that one I find brutal as well.
The trick to sticking the Antenna Bomb landing, at least that I've discovered - is actually front flipping onto it. Front flipping changed my success rate here from 1 in 50 to about 1 in 10, it just makes the rider stick better instead of bouncing off and away. If I nail the landing on the Antenna, I can get over the bomb maybe half of the time.
Is the "ninja level" a commonly discussed (however subjective) metric among you guys or did you just make that up for me?
The only really hard part for me is the last obstacle and wasted over 20 faults on it. Just seems like pure luck to me.
The tower with the bomb wasn't so hard once I got the technique. Overall 43 faults in 6:44.
No, Ninja is the common term for a "more-than extreme" difficulty track.Originally Posted by Elipsis
You can even tag your track as Ninja, although you can't select that for your diffulty setting.
Got it down to 11 faults. Pretty lucky to only make 5 on the last obstacle.
EDIT: Now 3 faults. One was completely stupid, the other one could have been avoided if I wasn't trying out a timesaver. :/
Wow you're good. I'm looking forward to watching the replay tonight.Originally Posted by Ben1502
Now that you've had more time with it - do you think that there is a "technique" for the horizontal ladder riding or do you think it's just a crapshoot?'m thinking about making it its own skill game).
The best that I've found is that if you slowly pull back while going over the rungs you tend to skip off of them and go rather far.
I pull back too and bounce off each one with the back wheel but it's difficult to control. I guess that is the technique, but I don't know if anyone could consistently get that ending without faulting.
Could work as a skill game but I doubt people would be able to get much further.
But yeah, I had fun with this track!![]()
