made a swinging chain ball (180') but it just bumps into me. I used 1st variation chain and spikeball. where am i going wrong

Try increasing the mass of the ball to increase the force it inflicts.

Add a hit trigger to the ball and add a player event so he faults every time.

Edit. Either try the above or see if you can glue a fail area tool to the ball.
