Very nice montage, guys. I do have a small criticism, and it might be more of an issue to the community, but there are tracks in the montage listed as being created by "Fusion Community". While these tracks do appear on Track Central under this tag, those tracks were made by other people, and only listed as Fusion Community for cross platform purposes. It would have been nice to have the real tags used by those creators in the video.
Other than that, it's very solid work, and I appreciate how much time must have gone into making it.
For future projects there is a listing being kept up-to-date by morrillo that lists each Uplay Recommended track, with the original creator's name.![]()
Loved the montage, and seeing a few shots of 2 of my tracks ( Mesoamerica / Cold Peak ) in it makes me even happier.
More tracks are coming.
I want to give feedback too!
When cutting footage from the same track to the beat I would try to cut it so that every time there's a jump cut it cuts forward on the footage and not to a completely different part of the same track. So if you cut just as the rider is jumping the next cut would be when rider is landing so the viewer can easily identify get an idea of the whole track rather than 2 second parts from all around the track. Spending more time with jump cuts on a one 6 second part is better for the continuity and it keeps the montage going without making the viewer think is the footage that's been presented from the same track or just same looking track or different part of the same track.
Also trying out some new editing tactics like putting all the cool ice levels in one part, then desert then jungle ect. Or putting same creators in same part![]()
Great montage guys! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback guys it is really appreciated but I am not sure what you mean blue...do you mean that I should take one part of that track and then dice it up rather than gathering different parts of that track? If so, there was a reason I did not do it this way. I have done this before but over time I realized that getting a feel of excitement going is very important in a montage, so that is why I cut up all the timesavers of the track instead of just one part. I figured that I could do it this way because morfyboy shows off the tracks while I get the excitement going (his part is very exciting too but it shows of the track more).
As for the putting all dessert/ice tracks in one place, I was focusing more on sorting out the timesavers and which timesaver to put where, but I will take this into extreme consideration next time I do a montage (which will hopefully be very soon).
Thanks for the feedback and the support is very very very appreciated....we will try to keep up the good workThanks Guys!
Cheers,
Xracer
Thnx for the feedback Blue.. We went for something a bit different this time as a collab' effort, and i feel we have had great feedback from alot of people with valid points.. Everything will be took on board, and i think its a sure thing that myself and Xracer will defos do something again in the future.. As a first time effort, it turned out excellent, but as with everything, theres always room to improve..
