    Guys I think we've missed a trick here.

    What if instead of using this dummy object trick on the bombs, you use it on the Jet instead. That would free up the physics bubble so you could use it for the bombs and missiles etc.

    You would only be able to fire one at a time but that's got to be better hasn't it?

    in all honesty i think cheating with the plane would be about the same as cheating with bombs, only difference is the number of bombs.

    edit: testing hits would be easier with plane cheating and bomb physics however.

    well guys..ive built the plane and its base..i would just like your 3 opinions on what to go for..cheating, or not??(on the plane i mean)

    my personal preference would be to use physics on the plane as cheating would be about as complex as the bomb detection, but to be fair both should yield the same results, also bare in mind a plane with physics could crash into every object including the ground.

    how would you do it?

    i would probably use 3 dummy's and a camera

    1of them glued to the plane some distance before it
    1 dummy ope'd to that dummy's location (this will be the camera's target)
    camera will be oped to the bomb
    1 dummy ope'd under the bomb to detect the ground

    now when you "release the bomb" you "freeze" the ground ope
    you will let the target ope slowly go downwards only moving on y axis
    now just take the camera's angles for the bomb and lt it slowly move forward

    how do you detect targets though without physics? unless you want to put some dummy targets for every target you want to have detection for
    fixed a mistake

    keep physics on plane, cheating looks worse the closer you are and bombs should fall behind you so you don't really see them anyway

    the distance method is a sphere around the targets(detection points and unless you place many on the plane and target it will look bad)

    This is a good point. Forget what I said then it was a bad idea, keep physics on the plane.
