{ The Hatchery } Medium, Trials
Skip your way across a working fish hatchery. Lots of real floaty jumps where it's not always the best idea to just gun it. A little throttle control is required to find the perfect flow. I thought I may have made the plat time a bit out of reach, but someone has already hit it.
There's also a Red Lynx banner hiding somewhere in the map. Hint: Trade handlebars for hulls.The Hatchery Video ^Spoiler: Show
{ Vulcanized Rubber } Medium, Trials
Fast flowing track through some sort of lava factory. Why such a thing would exist, I have no idea. This track is alive with more stuff going on than I've ever done. Good thing those tires are heavy duty!
There's a single spot of lag near the end which wouldn't go away even when I had nothing there. It's a spot where the track transitions from a wide open area to a kind of tight section and I guess it confused the engine somehow. It really doesn't impact play, and I tried my best to get rid of it, but considering all the effects in this track, I'm surprised it's not much worse.Vulcanized Rubber Video ^Spoiler: Show
{ Narrow Pass } Medium, Trials
{ Terra Shift } Medium, TrialsWinter theme, which I know has been done but I wanted to do one like this since before the game even came out so I had to do it. I made an epic mistake with this track though. I set up an after burner to be able to do some recon over my mountains to try and figure out how the track was going to flow and I forgot to turn it off. This means the leaderboard is a joke, but the track is still pretty fun if you run it legit. I love how cold the water looks!
This is a real straight forward and simple track if you just want to play it and move on... but there's a few extra things if you are into that stuff.. You can hit LB any time to toggle flames on your bike and rider for a little added challenge. There's also a couple easter eggs including an interactive fireworks show you have to find. At the end of the race, there's a top down view flyover of the whole track that may give you some clues.Terra Shift Video ^Spoiler: Show
{ Goin' Condo } Medium, Trials
This is just a fun little track with lots of ways through. Just because you don't make a jump, doesn't mean there isn't another route down below so don't hit that B button too quick. You will need a pretty good flow for Platinum though. Just watching the first few replays, there's a couple spots that seem to be tripping people up but I swear the flow is there.Goin' Condo Video ^Spoiler: Show
{ Lights Out } Medium, Skill Game
{ Beach Bummer } Medium,Trials,ThemedI basically took the idea from Beach Bummer of tire tapping things and made a skill game out of it. You're on an indoor Trials track with rhythm jumps and the idea is to smash the lights out with your bike at the peak of some of the jumps. The number of 'Smashes' and your total time on the course is used to rank the leaderboard. 8 smashes (which is the max you can get) in less than 1 minute for Platinum. You lose 1 'Smash' for every crash so watch your headThe Phoenix and the Scorpion work but I think the Scorpion is a little easier.
This track weaves its way through a polluted beach in the rain. It's a miserable day on Red Lynx Lake. It's pretty easy but I added a small twist. There's swinging yellow life preservers through out the course that you can tire tap. It adds little bit of skill to your run, so posting a gold time with all preservers hit would be more impressive than none. I know it's pointless really, but it is strangely addicting. Every time I tested the track, i was going for them. You'll get an unmistakable audible cue if you hit them btw.Beach Bummer Video ^Spoiler: Show
{ Blacktop Battlezone } Directed by Michael Bay! Medium,Trials,Long
{ Wood Grief } Technical/Trials for us mere mortals.So, yeah.. this started out as a simple enough idea but by the end, it reminded me of an over-the-top Michael Bay flick. I know the issues some Trials purists are going to have with it. The rest of you should have a blast riding through a city who has seen better days.
{ Reflect Effect } Long, Fun Medium Themed Track. Physics, Big Jumps etc..I like the technical tracks but most seem to be expert or ninja, so I thought I would make one that just about anyone can finish although it has some frustrating parts. I can't wait to see you pros demolish it. I think the Platinum time is achievable but I can't zero fault the damn thing.
{ Night Rider } Epic journey through a stormy night.This one actually has some issues with timing in a couple spots that never happened in all my testing with all the bikes. Sorry about that. Most of my friends say they are not seeing the issues but if you ride it enough, eventually you will.

{ Tree Fort } A fun ride through the leaves.
Any feedback is appreciated.My first track and not the best now that I look back at it. Still kind of fun. Maybe I'll update it in the future because I still like the idea.![]()
I totally feel you when it comes to the Track Central spam. It devastated me when I put my first track out and saw it drop off in less than 10 mins.
I tried all your tracks and I have to say that if I were to use one word to describe them it would be 'Fun'
Below is my breakdown for each.
{ Tree Fort }
This one wasn't my favorite. The bridges that break would sometimes glitch up above the bridge and make me crash, I also thought that there was a really long wait for the checkpoint around that abandoned mine field. You are always going so fast and then you hit a set of stairs that almost always crashes you, and the respawn is what seems like miles away. This was the only checkpoint I had issues with though. Lastly, this one did seem a bit long, I guess some parts were a bit bland compared to the other tracks.
{ Night Rider }
This one was so cool! I was first off amazed at how many objects are in this track, or at least how many appear to be. The lake thing half way through the track looked absolutely fantastic. I kept crashing on this track because I was too busy looking at all the awesome scenes and stuff going on in the background; I had to ride it like 10 times to be able to focus purely on the driving line. That lake, so good! Amazingly themed track for sure.
{ Spark Plug }
This track was like Night Rider, just such an awesome track to look at, it's like one of those cool marble mazes going on while I race. Really good implementation of multiple lines as well, I kept finding faster ways by accident while I was trying to get my best time. I have no complaints about this track, themed incredibly well and was really fun to play.
I think I am more like you when it comes to tracks, I can appreciate technical difficult tracks, and although I have beat the extreme tracks (with about 200 faults haha) I too prefer the fun fast medium style tracks with big jumps and good ambiance.
I'm definitely looking forward to your future releases, these tracks were fun!
Thanks so much for taking the time to play the tracks and share your thoughts. I agree totally with the criticisms of Tree Fort. It was my first and I still like the idea, but the track lacks in a lot of areas.Originally Posted by MikeBMT
I added your other reviews to my OP. Thanks again.
Played all your tracks last night. The only one I kept was Spark Plug...
Tree Fort - The problem I had with this one was the driving line. There were parts that just didn't flow very well and/or I couldn't see well enough due to something obscuring my view or a weird camera angle. Cool woodsy environment for the most part though.
Night Rider - This is probably just not my personal taste as it's an awesome looking track with great atmosphere. It was just too long for me and bits like the part with all the rocks where I can't tell what I'm riding on drive me a little nuts. I'd imagine a lot of people dig this one though.
Spark Plug - Just an all around great track here. Camera is pretty good and while it's medium, it leans more towards the hard, technical side of things but keeps a good flow, which is definitely my preference. Good stuff man!
Didnt know you had a thread up but I saw Spark plug on top rated and gave it a go. Have to say, I thought it was great and really enjoyed it! Nice work!
I love visual effects on Night Rider...my only peeve is that the riding line gets a bit hard to see at certain intervals (over the lake and up the rock pebbles) but overall very nice. Ill put up a vid of it soon.
Thanks a lot everyone for the feedback on the forum and on LIVE. Got a lot of great messages about Spark Plug. New tracks updated in the OP!
New track up! Blacktop Battlezone
I literally stopped what I was doing to play this when I saw you had a new track, then I was pretty delighted to see there were three!
{ Reflect Effect }
I liked this track, I don't think anything really stood out other than the physics; which were great.
{ Wood Grief }
I really liked this track, the theme was awesome. It's like this open-concept wooden house style structure that somehow doesn't feel at all out of place or unnatural which was awesome. I liked that the explosions kept throwing stuff towards the screen, somehow I felt that added to the theme and gave the track 'depth' or something. I liked all the details, I fell at the end and you have the wooden structure fully built all the way to the ground even though it's pretty high up and odds are nobody would ever see that. The big-ben style clock tower at the end was nice also.
My only faults to this one are:
It is a big long, which deterred me from trying to 0 fault it when I wanted to keep trying.
The jump at the end, or right after the last checkpoint: I was using the 250 evo and the front tire digs in HARD on the concave of that transition, almost completely stopped me in my tracks and flipped me over the handlebars a couple times, maybe it was because I was on that bike but I figured that shouldn't penalize me.
Also the end - The very last jump... I kept landing on the TNT and not getting the finish. Then I would have to restart what seemed like a long ways away at the jump mentioned above. I felt like this last section of the track deterred from the rest of it for me, it was kind of frustrating that I kept landing ON the finish like with explosives and not getting the finish.
{ Blacktop Battlezone }
This was a really well implemented Idea, the explosions were super neat and I thought they worked really well. I love all the little details you put into tracks, like the fact that all the checkpoints were traffic signals (really detailed traffic signals!) was wicked. Having the price of gas on a sign at the gas station rather than just the gas station, etc. It doesn't go unappreciated!
My gripe with this track is the driving line. It seemed like a lot of timeswas using the scorpion) the driving line just wasn't suited for full throttle flow. I would overshoot a platform (Very first jump?) and smash into a vertical surface a lot, or land awkwardly on a car and it would be tough not to crash.
For some reason, the first time you pass the gas station with the leaking gas silo (Black 18 wheelers) there is an insane amount of lag, but no explosions or anything to see. Then I would land awkwardly again, crash, and the 2nd time through, I would not experience any lag. This could be due to something in the background? Did you turn off any explosions/physics once the rider gets past them?
I also thought this track was a bit long, but not so much that I got bored.
I love your tracks, they are the epitome of medium trials tracks for the masses (a good thing). I love to ride fast tracks with good flow, big jumps and a great attention to detail.
What's your story man? Did you make tracks in THD? What programs you use to design websites? Are you a css expert?
I enjoyed doing Spark Plug, looking forward to this Michael Bay one. I like his movies, it's not Shakespeare but he has a look that i enjoy, loved Armageddon and the Island.
