Please keep in mind this use an early version and its intent is just for people to have fun and explore, not get a good time. that will come later.
    spelled correctly and case sensitive.

I typed in g1ll1ganth3p1mp the 3rd and 4th letters were L's. Is that correct?
I'm sorry but you're GT has not been recognised - Computer says NO!

Please check spelling ensuring any CAPS are in place as it will only recognise if its
Looking at his username for the site, I would suggest the 'T' is a capital letter. Maybe that is the problem? If not, you'll have to wait for Gilligan to answer! lol
I tried several variations of CAPS no CAPS but no luck. I'm in no hurry.

They currently have 4 stars, so hopefully you wont find them horrendous! LOL

Also, many thanks for taking the time to do this for everyone, as you say its very hard to actually get any feedback at the moment, particularly constructive negative feedback (which is normally the most useful).

Hi Barrybarfly, Nice to meet you.
I just played through "Hunters Moon" and I think its awesome. You have a really good theme going on here and I love the wolf howling in the background.
There was a bit of lag right at the beginning of the track for some reason but it did only effect the beginning and didn't make it un-ridable.
The medal times are good. I did think it was a bit tight for platinum but after a good run with 3sec off my previous best I accepted that I didn't do a perfect run before. Good Job!
Now "Glen of tranquility" This was a great track again but the lag was terrible . I assume you had to use the terrain editor quite a bit to shape the land which has unfortunately resulted in a poor performance track. If it wasn't for the lag it would be a 5* track for sure as I really wanted to play again to improve my time.

You have good a style in your tracks and are good at keeping the level of difficulty the same throughout so I would say keep doing what you are doing and just try and work on getting rid of the lag.

Take it easy and show me more soon as, ok?
Thanks for that! I agree with the lag on Hunter's moon. I just explained that to someone in my thread (you're right about the cause) and I have indeed learnt from that mistake! The lag on Hunter's moon at the start had me completely beaten. I just could not find the source of it at all and really didnt want to lose the obstacle its near. Medal times are something I really struggle with. So I am currently working on the basis that I would rather they be achievable, with platinum maybe very hard as that way "regular" riders will have a shot at them. But hopefully as I improve my riding, this is something that will make my medal times become more appropriate. So I am trying to address the issues you've highlighted and hopefully they wont occur in future! lol

I have a couple of mates who are around my riding level. Most evenings we get on, we just enter a private lobby and run user tracks. So I sometimes toss in something I've done to gauge the reaction. I have a track I've been working on which has reached that stage of developement. So based on their feedback I hope to know how far along the track is and wether its working "properly" (the feel is right, the obstacles work, effects are right, etc). But I want to try and work on the background with this one and improve on that. Nice details and no lag with a fairly straightforward track is the aim, so once its uploaded I'll be sure to ask your opinion again.

Thanks again for doing this for everyone, for some of us who didnt design in HD feedback is the only way to know what is right and what isnt with our tracks!

Edit: When I get on I will probably download some of these tracks you enjoyed and run them myself, although I dont feel I'm in a position to do a critique of them! But I'm always interested in downloading user tracks to run in lobbies, so this thread will be another resource for me to use.

Feel free to try my second track, Scandinavian Summer, and tell me what you think. It's gotten a lot of positive feedback so far, but you can never have enough

Re: Ok track builders, let's see what you've got!

Never used the track editor in Trails HD, but loving the one in EVO. This is my first track, and it's still a work in progress, mainly to add some background scenery and iron out some small things, but I'd like people to try it.

I'm open to any suggestions as to what to add, remove or change. Any criticism is welcome, as I'll work on changing things and make them better.

    The track is:

    NAME: Up,Up and Away BETA
    TYPE: Trials
    DIFFICULTY: Hard
    GAMERTAG: Johnnyspliff

I'll have to fix the driving line, as it dosn't quite match in some places, and I'll be adding in background objects and scenery. Those are things on my to do list anyway.
    Any feedback would be appreciated.
Any tips on how to make the driving line better? I realize there's a few sharp turns (one in particular, which you'll know when you see it), but due to the nature of the track, its hard to do. I was thinking about expanding the warehouse outwards (as in out to the right when you are looking at the door).
    Any suggestions or tips?

I've just had a go at both your tracks ( multiple times ) and they look wicked. Never knew you could make it snow.
The jumps are well placed and lines are good. I like the scenery too, minimalist works here.
The only thing I had an issue with is your medal times. They are way too harsh. I get you are trying to make high speed lines, but you are going into ninja teritory for the times you're asking for. I'm not too bad at this game and I only just got Plat on Scandinavian Summer and cant do better than 29.041 on Frostbite and you're asking for 28.500. I think you're asking too much.
If you do make any more like these you need to make the medal times fair. I'm only suggesting by .700 or so, but it makes all the difference.

Cheers for suggesting them to me and hope you make some more.

Ok, so you know about the driving line, thats fine.
I did get a little frustrated with some of the spline points. Wherever possible, try to expand them using the RB or RT can't remember now and try to use them as little as possible. if it really wont fit, another method I've seen used and done well is making it like a hip jump ie you take off straight, turn in the air and land straight.
In all, I think your track was a little long.between 30sec and 2min ( max ) is usually a good time for a track. I think the guys at Redlynx must have spent weeks putting Gigatrack together plus lots of people testing over and over to make sure the lines feel right and link together.
There was also a bit in the warehouse where it looks like you're heading for a jump out the wall but instead you are whipped to the left and its now too late to brake before headbutting some barrels. That was not cool IMO.
Overall I'd say keep practicing with the editor and test more rigerously until you feel the ride is something Redlynx would have in thier game. The scenery can come later, the most important thing is a good riding line.
    Good luck buddy.

I just tried this too and it still didn't work. Best thing to do is write it here Case Sensitive and I'll copy that.
Also if you go to the control pannel ( Top right of the page ) click on profile settings and just below where you enter your B'day you can enter your XBL GT. It will the put a link under your avatar on the LH side of your posts.
