So, not really "my" track. I flat out stole Way of the Ninja and just made it a bit harder and changed weather/ToD setting.
Anyhow here's a video:
Cyborg Soldier: UNFINISHED
Started working on a track, decided to record the build process. Not finished yet, not even close, but this is the first 1 1/2 hours super condensed.
Second Cyborg Soldier build video is up, as you can see I deleted what I had of the line. It wasn't what I wanted. Built another set piece in the second video and rage save/exited when I realized I had really messed up on scale.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Track: Way of the Ronin
GT: RoguishRonin
Style: Trials
Difficulty: Ninja
Video: ME
Blatantly taken from Way of the Ninja, and inspired by Shogun's After Hours series of tracks, I decided to see what would happen after they shut down the WotN course for the night. Apparently people steal a lot of the track and randomly throw out explosives and punji sticks... Those jerks!
Track: RainSlick Precipice
GT: RoguishRonin
Style: Trials
Difficulty: Medium
Video: PAX Prime 2012 (Skip to 20 minutes)
Set in the town of New Arcadia in Mid-2012, 90 years after the events that unfold in The Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness 1, 2, and 3, a new darkness is invading. After watching your house stomped on and destroyed, you must race across the familiar landscapes of past adventures to reach the Startling Developments Detective Agency before the world, and your bike, becomes the obsessive desire of the Harvest Buddy Prime (alternate name not appropriate for forum usage).
Inspired by the Penny Arcade RPG series and used as the Omegathon Final in PAX Prime 2012 in Seattle, WA for which I am truly honored.
Track: Extreme Supercross!
GT: RoguishRonin
Style: Supercross
Difficulty: Extreme
Video: N/A
Set in historic Lestropie Stadium, named after the robotic player of years past, Extreme Supercross! isn't for the faint of heart. Know your bike, perfect your skills, and fling your way through this technical, stadium-inspired, course. I look forward to watching your replays on the leaderboards... If you complete it.
Inspired by some of you top-tier racers, I made a track that isn't about your final score, only about bragging rights. Get your 3 most heated rivals, set up Extreme Supercross!, and see who is the best. Watch your rival's frustration mount as you majestically soar through the course like an Eagle effortlessly gliding with the wind under it's wings.
Track: Squirrel G-1
GT: RoguishRonin
Style: Trials
Difficulty: Medium
Video: T4KShadow
Inspired by the Stargate show/movies (really only saw that movie) I wanted to make gates that looked identical while transporting the rider across "space". Really easy line, but the unrecoverable gaps made me label it "Medium".
Not too hard, just an experiment and proof of concept, just like most of my tracks.
Track: Rocky Road of Life
GT: RoguishRonin
Style: Trials
Difficulty: Hard
Video: T4KShadow
Peep StarFire's replay for the hard route.
Anyhow! Feedback, even negative, is ALWAYS appreciated.
Best use of a tree I've seen so farI don't love the first twisting bit but the drops are very nice and the space in between the rocks at the end are a good touch too. 4 out of 5
That was pretty cool. It did lag a little bit, though. Remember to keep lights and effects off, and trigger them on and back off when needed.
Nice line BUT I couldn't tell where I was going in the beginning. Need some track markers. And a finish line indicator would be nice too.![]()
sweet track, took 1st.....Theres still about 2 seconds in there to grabGreat line I love your nearly impossible shortcuts
![]()
Pros:
Not a bad driving line
I like the setting
Riding up the tree was awesome
Potential for speed runs
Cons:
Lags quite a bit for me
Driving line curves too sharply so I can't see where I'm going
It's raining but it doesn't feel like it is (Think this is a problem with rain in general from what I've seen)
If I'm being super critical I would have like to see more stuff in the background both static and dynamic like a falling tree or something
Im sure in no time you'll be making tracks that will blow us all away![]()
Pros - Thank you! It felt like a ton of work getting the line together.Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid

I got lag after uploading to TC as well. I am currently unsure what the problem is. It runs perfect in the Editor and when I did MP testing before release. I'll do extra testing from now on as well.
The curves were supposed to follow the round plates, but I agree, the curve up to the rocks is invisible and makes the first few runs an exercise in learning the line.
I didn't use the "Rain hitting ground" effect as the track is pretty fast when the rain comes in. Basically me cutting a corner to save time on placement. I'll do better next time.
The background is what caused a ton of lag in the beginning (of editing). There was a really big default forest that I had to remove which is why the trees are so closely packed in the beginning, I had to "fill in" the space.
I am not comfortable with creating dynamic items yet.My goal is to recreate my THD track "Langoliers" in Evo.
Wouldn't you know it, I nailed that shortcut about 7/10 times while doing full runs in the editor, and now I can't get it at all. I clocked in a smooth run at 36 seconds in the editor. You need to hit that flat topped bridge at nearly full speed and bunny hop almost perfectly.Originally Posted by 420
shame about the frame rate drop but besides that its a solid track with a really creative line, ill look out for more![]()
Since u wrote me such a nice message I'll review your traK.![]()
