Agreed. I've been going through the thread for the last 2 hours making a list of recommended tracks. It's a long list, and I might not make it through them all, but I'm trying my best. To be fair though, not all noticeable tracks will get a RedLynx Pick, it's kinda the way it works, kinda subjective.Originally Posted by SKUMBAG
Most good tracks should spread through word of mouth, so it's definitely up to you guys to let everyone else know what you've played that's good. Tweeting them to @RedLynxGamer is a good way to get a retweet (especially if you have a video) and, hopefully, increase exposure for the track.
Thanks Shifty.
EDIT: Any word on TC ratings and downloads operating normally anytime soon, Or at least an LTA?
With that in mind, a good idea would be to have the 'Highest Rated In trials' in TC every week and have a random selection from the top maybe 100 or even 1000 tracks. Also, I think any 1 creator should only have their top track listed - If a player likes what they have, they should look for other tracks by that creator by themselves.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai
Anyway.....
Have a go at 'Panel Madness'. Worthy of a RL Pick me thinks....
Seriously, how many times can you nominate your own track? This is, what, the fourth time? Its starting to look a bit ridiculous tbh.Originally Posted by AussieNufMan
Just to add to what shifty said about twitter, all my tracks or videos that ive tweeted to @redlynxgamer n @trialsevolution have retweeted..dont know how many more dl ive gained, but i pressume it must be a few..
Maybe what we need is a new feed called Community Picks. Has anyone brought up this up yet?![]()
The entire forum could vote for their favorite tracks and the top 10 or so get added every week. This makes more sense than trying to get Redlynx to pick everything that the community likes. Only problem I see is that it might take a lot of work to manage it.
I don't want to be in charge of something like this, but I would certainly help out.Originally Posted by xIronWarlordx
I wouldn't mind being in charge (with or without someone else) of collating this? I am on Evo every day pretty much updating my database and picks..certainly sounds like a great idea (and could replace the Summer Of Arcade feed when it is doneOriginally Posted by LukeMSki)

i noticed we dont get that anymore.
there are a bunch of older tracks that are truly exceptional. as in unique or outstanding.
(and the pure fun section is the best place to really showcase the editor to be truly exceptional.)
plenty of them have been put in video reviews on youtube and mentioned here on the forums.
some guy did a copy of wipeout the ship racing game for the love of god.
someone did a decent copy of the impossible game (lol much better than my half arsed attempt) called the quite easy game
2 player games, copies of all our favourite childhood handhelds and board games like simon says and master mind......
many of them have huge amounts dls and ratings.
these games are truly exceptional
so where did bike jousting come from. ive played a lot of player tracks and made a great many myself, i know how it was done. and it is most definitely not any of the definitions of exceptional.
it is not the only jousting game or even the best example.
id just like to see a short review on why it was deemed exceptional. what made it better than say jarr3tt88 drift 1.0, trialong 1 or 2 (1 or 2 player perfect pong copy) or dare i say it dragon rider attack. and loads more i unfortunately cant remember.......
the pick process could be soo much more; what other tracks were in consideration? why was the final choice made? what are the real criteria?
