I'm gonna recommend TheMovement81's Entropy 2, there are not many good supercross tracks out there and certainly not many good 'anythings' in the RL picks.
Many different persons are choosing RedLynx picks (ANBA, Sipe, Jorma, Jenkki, me, etc). Some of us like spectacles, wow-factor and cinematic stuff. I personally prefer pure Trials gameplay, no gimmicks, technical obstacles and well though timesavers. I have been lately really busy outside work, so I haven't had much time to play the game and recommend RedLynx picks. I will be recommending tracks to RedLynx picks when I have time.
So here are the rules, if you want to recommend a track to me:
1. Has to run at 60 fps, ALL THE TIME. I am the frame rate nazi of our team, so this is really a deal breaker for me.
2. The track has to look good visually (I am the graphics engine programmer after all). No shimmering surfaces, no light blocks, no purple fog/water, no objects floating in the air with no support (unless the track theme allows it), etc. The track outlook has to be cohesive, and its theme well planned.
2. No funky camera angles that make gameplay harder. Occasional well planned custom cameras are OK, as long as you make sure the custom camera isn't used in a place that requires precise player control. For example a custom camera during a big jump is OK, if you return it back well ahead of the landing.
3. Curved driving line must be used sparingly. No sharp turns and no turns in the air. Player has to always be aware where the path goes. The path is marked with proper terrain stamps and it's very clear what obstacles lay in the path.
4. All physics constructions must be consistent and easy to understand. I do not like tracks with too many physics obstacles. I like to be able to improve my time gradually, so consistently is a key. A little hint: My bottom two original tracks are Sewage Plant and Physics Factory. If you find excellent physics based tracks, please recommend them to someone else.
5. Correct checkpoint usage is important. Checkpoints must be before AND after each difficult obstacle. Checkpoints must be placed so that the track doesn't get harder to pass if you have to restart from a checkpoint.
6. I don't like "obstacle-stop-obstacle-stop" -style tracks. Advanced players must be able find some kind of flow in the track. Well planned time savers should be included for players who can chain obstacles together and maintain the momentum.
7. Both Scorpion and Phoenix should be allowed, unless the track is extreme/ninja. If Phoenix is not allowed, I will not even try the track. Test the track with each bike that is allowed! I really dislike tracks that are impossible to pass if you choose a wrong bike.
8. I don't like too long tracks, because it's frustrating to zero fault them and make good speed runs on them. So, no Gigatrack IIs please! Reasonably short technical tracks with good flow are close to my heart (Down in the Dumps, Lab Rat, Truth is Out There, Under Construction, Out of the Pit, etc).
9. We cannot accept tracks to RedLynx picks that use registered brand names (such as "Super Mario", "Sonic the Hedgehog", "Terminator 2" and "Castlevania"). These names are protected by the copyright law, and our official recommendation list cannot obviously use copyrighted names without permission. Game/movie themed tracks are OK, but copyrighted names are not ("Italian Plumber Trials" is ok, but "Super Mario Trials" is not).
Please do not recommend your own tracks. Good tracks always get noticed by the community. You can send me a PM (in forums) if you find a track that matches with all these points listed above. Include the track's name and track designers gamertag (case sensitive with all special characters included). I will play through these tracks when I have extra time (at home). I cannot guarantee that I have time to play all recommended tracks, or that I like all recommended tracks. If I liked the track a lot you will see it in future RedLynx picks (I will not reply to track recommendation PMs).
Thanks everyone!
So I guess if Test Subject 001 had been called Portal, it wouldn't have been eligible?
Pretty much yes. Be careful with registered trademarks if you want your tracks to appear in the RedLynx picks list.Originally Posted by nannerdw

Wasn't Super Mario Trials a Redlynx Pick for a while though? Has it been removed from RedLynx Picks because of the name?
Just so I understand the semantics of naming. "MW3: Dome Trials" is bad, but changed to
"Trial Dome" would be ok?
Sebbbi's criteria for a good trials track is literally identical to my own. If we got a RedLynx picks update that fully conformed to that list, I would be a happy man.
I'm very happy with the RedLynx picks so far.![]()
Are some of the tracks not to my personal taste? Yep. Does that mean I haven't enjoyed seeing the variety? Nope.
RedLynx shouldn't and haven't just been picking one particular style of track and have included some that showcase all the different aspects of a track/skill game and what the evo editor can do. Some are graphical showcases some are tight as drum driving lines some are innovative and imaginative. I wouldn't expect to like all of them or replay every one.
I can well understand some trackmakers frustration if they work on a track for hours or days and want their efforts highlighted but if you keep making quality tracks sooner or later they WILL get noticed.
Likewise I can understand some players frustration if their particular favourite type of track seems to get underpicked.
But here's a tip that needs to be highlighted.
If you like a particular track and it's style for whatever reason and regardless of whether it's made it to the RedLynx picks yet USE THE FIND OTHER TRACKS BY THIS TRACKMAKER OPTION.
You will often be pleasantly surpised by just how many other tracks they may have made and the quality tends to be just as good. (Though of course earlier tracks are usually the trackmaker getting to grips with the Evo Editor so the later the track the better it often is.)
I would also make the suggestion that more channels for picks might be added in the future.
Whether it be a Redlynx channel #2 or #3 or themed or even guest picks.
Golem you completely missed the point.
Real Trials Comp 3 is my favorite type of track. Just a simple driving line with no gimmicks.
It is not because of my tastes that I don't like it. I don't like it because it is a mediocre track.
There are dozens of similar tracks that are ridiculously superior to that one.
I too enjoy the variety, and even if something is not to my taste I can still appreciate it. The problem is that Redlynx needs to pick the best of the best from each "style" of track, and Real Trials Comp 3 is nowhere near the best.
