last week there were complaints that the old-school talents werent getting enough love and a couple of picks later people are complaining that they arent giving newer builders a chance.. they really cant get it right regardless of what tracks they pick.

i'll agree that some have seemed like a lower standard than others but its not community picks, its up to them what they play and choose to reward.

If you enjoy making tracks, then make them. If you want to upload them so mates can enjoy them, then upload them. If other people like them its a bonus. Other than that, who really cares tbh? Any picks etc are just little bonuses along the way. If you arent enjoying making tracks stop. If you are enjoying it carry on. Its that simple to me now tbh.

wait what? Lol. Barry i never said anything about not enjoying tracks or not enjoying making them. I was on about showing more love for upcoming people. I understand what you mean will. Its an impossible ballance to get right. Its just my opinion lol. Im not too fussed i just see redlynx picks as a promotion page and most of the time i would go to the page ive already got the tracks because their well known already.

I wasnt disagreeing with you DJ! I was just saying that the balance is always being questioned, someone is always happy or unhappy with the picks. And that I try to not pay any attention to it anymore. I just make tracks for fun and find the game more fun now that I just dont care about the picks! I wasnt implying that anyone else felt the same or different. I was just saying that I've stopped worrying about the picks now.

Everything in here is someone's opinion and therefore niether right or wrong.

i always like to see new talent come out, but lets be fare some of the better known designer are known for making decent tracks. So new designer or old, does it really matter as long as the best track wins ???

I've nearly always played the tracks that get a pick before they it the RL feed anyway, so it really doesnt make much difference to me who gets on it tbh! But for other people who have less time, I'd just like to see the very best tracks hit the feed so they can find them. But what is "the best" to one person, isnt to another. I really believe its pretty much a no win stuation for RL. If you watch the top of the 48hr feed you see the massive variety of tracks up there. From ninja, to pirate, to automatic, to extreme, to medium, to staircase tracks, to scenery heavy tracks, to riding line heavy tracks. So "the best" track in the opinion of the raters varies massively. Which makes it impossible to pick 2-3 tracks for the feed that everyone will agree on imo.

yep to true, everyone will like something different, and some of that will depend on skill level. I personally look for the line, then decor. The only thing i look negitively on is when people use ALL the same ideas i.e. some of the ninja tracks we've all played

Nvm, started a new thread to mention it instead! Its just about replay value damaging ratings on occasion and is in general discussion for anyone who is interested. Just dont want to clutter this thread up with it! lol
