Youve missed my point willyumz...as i expect many will. Its the way these guys go about it...im not debating these tracks are worthy of attention. I even mentioned that. Its the *** kissing and ego massaging that gets on my tits...so many new people will join..see this..and think twice. Its ******** in this forum...its cliquey ********. Anyway...ive said what is on my mind...i know im not alone...and i stand by it. Im not talking about my own tracks...you assume i am...but im not bothered by that..its the community as a whole im talking about. I expect many people wont agree and thats fine..but some that dont agree will only be doing so because they are too embroiled in all this ego massage ******** to see the truth.
These guys play other peoples stuff...and say nothing. They could offer advice..say what they think could be improved. Theypractically ALWAYS show up in the same peoples threads...with such sickly praise youd think they just gave them fifty quid. Its bias...its ********...and its not a community spirit. I find it sad that its this way...it could be so different..and its only thus subforum that suffers from this too.
I dont want to turn this into another world record topic bust up...so ill leave it here.
how so? im not trying to argue mate.. i take a lot of what you say and agree with it.Originally Posted by emcee
im just trying to make it clear that certain people deserve the praise they get. the amount of work that must have gone into one mans trash and power trip really is a level above almost everyone else - and if they get a bunch of people following their tracks after putting that amount of time and effort in then congrats to em.
Sorry mate i hadnt finished the post.
I might play 10/20 tracks a day sometimes, it's hard to come and give feedback for all of them.I don't make tracks either so constuctively criticising someone's hard work is difficult. There are some amazing new talents throwing stuff up on TC and I'd hope they aren't disheartened by lack of feedback while others are seemingly being flooded by it.
Obviously those of us who've been around for a while have our favourite designers and spend more time in those threads. I have tried to encourage new faces here and there though...apdenton...bit of a disaster
Tbh I think I'm just trying to reassure some of you who feel neglected, even the most highly regarded designers were there at one point.
Emcee...I need to come give you some feedback![]()

quick and off topic(ish), could you guys at RedLynx please remove tracks from highest rated etc if you have placed them in your best of bin to make way for new up&coming tracks, thankyou![]()
Yes, but bringing up my track is irrelevant. My track could be of the lowest quality, but if my feedback is logical, then it doesn't matter what I have produced.Originally Posted by bobozilla
Why doesn't somebody go top my run then? The track has a fine line for speedrunning. It's not sloppy or unpolished, so somebody should be able to top my run easily. There is at least 1.00 left in the track.
thanks for the love guys, appreciated.
id like to see schrodinger by asscheeksofdef![]()
one mans trash by murdoc
and archetype by skum in the picks, the 1st two are obvious but archetype really needs to be in there for the steep learning curve, longevity and replayability the track has for above average riders.
classic 2 by willyumz, solid *** track thru and thru redlynx style.
residential rampage by synapsis
and jezzball by nannerdw for the skill games picks, if its not there already it has to be 100%
ps- emcee im not hiding, im puttin in work in the editor completely fixated. if everyone did that instead of talking up their updated versions track central would be amazing.i also help people on xbox live all the time when they come to me.

Same as on the market. This autopilot behavior is problematic in many ways as you wrote - yes, it often seems to lead to reserved glorification and neglection of the newcomers. Though, I think it's unrealistic to expect personal advice and feedback in a systematic sense (tutorials?).. and as I've said before, of course people has a higher tendency to praise a "familiar face" than a stranger.
But I'm in agreement with you, the share-out of notable attention should definitely be better. I'm bad at it myself. What incitement will be good enough to make people withdraw from the prevalent sphere? When the majority lacks the leisure time to engage in larger amount of forum activity, I can't seem to find a reasonable answer.
1. I agree, The Xzample's track has nothing to do with his ability to levy constructive criticism.Originally Posted by xzamplez

3. If I understand your tone correctly Synapsis, I would say you were trying to land a low blow, and failed. It almost illustrates the emcee's point exactly. Why can't we all just get along?
@Xzample-I would love to top your run. I'm only down by .05 at the moment. It's just that I got tired of hitting my head on the piece of wood above the shortcut where you frontflip onto the two tires>log jump.![]()
