I don't think you understand. I love technical tracks like the two from Misaccused. The fact that it is a technical driveline is not the problem, the poor object placement is. The track is full of awkward texture that constantly grabs the bike, making it incredibly frustrating to Speedrun.Originally Posted by QcChopper
My example is the rock hand on Archipelago. Unless you land right in the center, your bike glitches and you lose time. The track feels unpolished.
You guys should take notes from Xzamples tracks, the driving lines are so perfect and how they are integrated with the visually stunning backgrounds just makes your heart skip a beat.
What does the quality of my track have anything to do with the validity of my feedback? Do you ever put thought behind your posts?Originally Posted by Synapsis
Probably Fiction Factory which has the same kind of meticulous and very addictive line as the other two you mention and is also a superb themed night track with a water plant in the background.Originally Posted by buttcheekofdeth
Any of those three are indeed very worthy of a RedLynx pick as you say.
Being able to make good tracks means you know what you're talking about. Quite simple when you think about itOriginally Posted by xzamplez![]()
AWebDesigner - The Hatchery
Norfair76 - Antanuga Inc
Insanedude 13 - Green Boxes
oXCuBXo - Olympics 2012 just for fun
i just wanna say its a disgrace that i havent been picked yet when all these ****e tracks get some redlynx love and i also want to put foward that murdoc loch is dreamy in every wayOriginally Posted by NonRedOrchid
but seriously i agree man everyone needs to chill.. there will always be people who stick close to their favorite creators and there will always be tracks in redpicks that make us think "whats so great about that?"... just get on with it.
all the *****ing and expectations are really taking the fun out of building on evo compared to HD![]()
Its incestuous here though...its almost sickening the way people harp on...."every track should be likrsthis"..."this is the best track EVER"...when they havent even tried a lot of the tracks people are making. This forum is pretty much sickening...and what makes it worse is this little elite crew who basically are just each othets groupies bang on about what a community this is....yeah maybe for the 10 or 20 of those but lets face itit closed doors to new members where they are concerned.Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ
I know this post will cause mutiny but i dont give a **** anymore....the way this lot kiss each others asses is pitiful...ive even seen other forums where people have mentioned the arrogance and elitism that goes on here. Its such a shame and i really hope more new people come and arent put off by the small minority who shut everyone else out.
It needs new blood...it needs more people like jonofthejungle and hoorayitsmike who are there for the new members to give them tips and feedback to help them improve...and less of these *******s who only come out of hiding because their hero made a new track. Theres probably 30 posts or more on the first page alone where no one has bothered to comment or try the tracks people have made...they take time on these tracks and post here to get advice and feedback and be a part of the community...and their post slips unnoticed so why should they bother again? Then you get heet or murdoch release a track and everyone puckers up and lavishes them with praise. Sure there tracks are superb...but many others could be too if these cliquey members gave them 2 minutes to offer advice.
I will gain a large group of enemies here from this...but thats fine by me...ive felt this was for a long time here and im glad someone provoked a situation where i can speak my mind.

...that is all.
emcee does make some valid points and although im usually of the same mind as him and the people he mentioned, im not with him 100% on that post.
firstly, people who werent part of the 'elite' on Trials HD have been noticed, including yourself emcee. i recently mentioned how many posts you have in your thread already... but there are others too; Inflictor to name a very popular newcomer that riders have taken to.
secondly, i have to take issue with the murdoc/heetsauce reference. they have that level of attention because they have deserved it, not only in this game so far but because of the work they had put in previously - consistently sharing tracks of the highest quality for a number of years. its about dedication and i think its only fair that it pays off for them (and others).
there are good tracks from new creators out there. but its not their right to get noticed. they have to work for it and maybe get a bit lucky aswell. they have to put the time in and i know that from personal experience with creating tracks; im sure you remember one of my first tracks 'leap it'?.. i put effort into making it fun but it looked **** and it wasnt until id made about 20 tracks and was spending 30+ hours on each one that people started to notice - and thats how it should be.
there are thousands of tracks to play and the best way to find tracks you like, is by playing the tracks by creators you like.
and the only way creators get 'liked' is by putting out quality **** again and again. and that seems fair to me.
