    Re: REDLYNX PICKS

Seriously, boo-fricking-hoo. I've had Pinewood nominated a load of times and it never got picked. You dont hear me or a lot of other people whining about not having a RL pick. Make tracks because you want to, because you enjoy doing it and because you get a kick out of it. So what if you dont get a RL pick? Did you make the track to get a RL pick? If so thats the wrong reason. If not then why worry about it so much?

And frankly, it doesnt matter if you're a respected long standing member of the community or a complete newcomer like me. Everyone should be equally likely to get a pick. The fact of the matter is that they are REDLYNX picks. Not community picks. Not track of the week picks. Not best track ever picks. But REDLYNX picks, tracks they choose. So what if people agree or disagree with their choices? It really doesnt matter imo.

Make tracks, enjoy tracks, upload tracks so friends can play them. Anything else should be considered to be a bonus and not an entitlement like some people seem to think.

The valid point being? That people arent happy with RL picks and/or that some people are "blacklisted" from RL picks?

If that was it, then I got it fine. If it s the point about people leaving over the RL picks then I got it fine.

If its not any of that, than please enlighten me as to what I'm missing here?

There are a lot of reasons already stated through here already guys, but there is a thing I must say, there was one track that never got nominated and still or picked, where as a lot of other people went unnoticed, you may have had nominations then the thing sticks for you too and it sucks... But meh mine obvious or any one else for that matter their tracks obviously don't stand out either.

Maybe not to redlynx. You guys seriously need to get over this entitlement thing. I dont see any valid points here i just see people complaining because they didnt get picked. I make valid, quality trials tracks but for some reason half the forum...the long standing members mainly including yourself and practically all the others....refuse to play them or comment on them. You dont see me everywhere moaning that my tracks deserve to be noticed by everyone and upset because they arent, even if I feel like its a bit unfair that all you long standing members just ignore what I do.

Seriously, deal with it or stop building/playing otherwise you will ruin the game for yourselves if you havent already. This thread is horrendous and this is the last time I will ever click on Redlynx Picks again...its enfuriating to read this **** when you guys are just as guilty of that which you accuse redlynx of.

Oh and congrats to buttcheek and twitchy....long overdue and well deserved picks!

That's funny, I don't remember ever starting a SKUMBAG picks thread. I also don't recall volunteering to test out all forum members tracks... Hmmm?

If there were a SKUM picks feed however, There would be a lot more quality assurance. And there would be a whole new set of people "crying" because it would not be possible for their garbage *** tracks to ever be a part of the feed, No matter how much *** they kissed on some forums.

    Re: REDLYNX PICKS

and this sort of nonsense is why a lot of us arent bothering with the forum anymore.
Redlynx Picks was always gonna be a *****-fest but I really think its punching above its weight now... just get rid of it, I think.

@emcee - you (quite rightly) say that people should stop feeling 'entitled'... and then admit that you yourself, feel entitled to having the forum vets play, rate and comment on your tracks. i like your tracks, and i completely understand the desire for highly regarded riders/creators to play your tracks... but why is that their responsibility?

if they play your tracks and give you feedback then great, but i dont understand why you're expecting it. I would hate to think people advertising tracks on here, see me and think "why isnt that bastard willy playing my tracks?!" - because I dont want to play every random person's tracks.

I try to check out friends tracks, and I will play random tracks at my own leisure but I wont feel obligated to go through and check everyones ****, because thats not my idea of fun; I would rather climb leaderboards or build my own tracks.
And if thats how Skum, Murdoc and a bunch of others feel then tough ****... its not their fault or problem imo.

if this forum doesnt have a widespread 'chill-out session' soon, it will keel over and die
