Buttcheek you are spot on man...theres even a floating staircase in greatest of all time. **** knows how they can improve it though...but all time feeds will.probably never change now due to the huge amount of votes those tracks have got.
Maybe they could have each tile representing a month of greatest tracks. Like now you click redlynx picks it brings up a page with tiles representing each track...when you pick all time trials highest rated it brings up another page with tiles representing the months. Then click those tiles to take us to the highest rated tracks for that month. If they had 48 tiles for the month selection page that gives them 4 years worth to play with.
The number of RP per week is a joke?!?!? what's up guys?!?!?!Originally Posted by ANBA![]()
Hmmm... I think the problem with the rating system is that the microchip that redlynx secretly implanted in all our brains are malfunctioning, if we all just hit our heads off the nearest hard surface it should sort out the problem, either that or some people are just morons giving 5 stars to garbage tracks...
And +1 for a recommendable track creators feed, would be so much easier than manualy typing the tags in the recommendable track creators thread(i got about halfway through "A" before i got bored and gave up)
It's tough getting new tracks added to RLP every day in addition to normal work duties.
We do try. Sorry it's been slow.![]()
This is simply unnacceptable. What are we paying you for by purchasing your game? Samurais are meant to be able to accomplish mutliple tasks in a single breath!! You need more trainingOriginally Posted by ShiftySamurai![]()
I obviously wasn't talking about every single track in those categories, just the vast majority of them. There are a few good tracks in the highest rated in trials and skill games as well.
.............And you assume that I don't rate tracks, but trust me, I go out of my way A LOT to downrate terrible tracks. I have gone through at least 200 tracks that I knew were terrible simply to give them a 1-star rating. The problem is that for every person like me there are 100 kids on Track Central who will give those tracks 5 stars, which means the torture I go through playing those tracks is completely pointless.
Regardless of what you think about the quality of the tracks in the highest rated, you can't deny that it is hardly a feed. Those tracks are set in stone forever, and it is nearly impossible to get in due to the fact that most of those tracks have a ridiculous amount of ratings that is now impossible to achieve. These feeds could be removed and replaced with better ones that actually cycle tracks and make sure all good tracks have a chance at success................

I nominate Ghost Train by marble mike 23. He took his time, took lots of advice and worked real hard on this track, and it came out fantastic. Awesome visuals and great drive line.
GT: marble mike 23, two spaces, all lower
Track name: Ghost Train
Someone here made a good point about how new games always have a lot of initial players. These people are very casual players and their numbers drop off quickly. This might leave TC 'greatest rated tracks' feeds a wreck..... more of a wreck. But even more of those players will drop off when some DLC is released and there should be completely new sections and feeds for tracks that use DLC. For the first time EVER I'm really looking forward to DLC for a game within a month of its release.
OK i'll make a serious point this time, i don't know if anybody else has noticed this.
When you play a track and finish it you are prompted to rate it, however if you choose to replay it by pressing the back button you are not promted to rate when you complete it again, this is probably the reason why the Downloads are always so much higher than the actual ratings. People just forget and move onto the next track without rating.
If your going for a second run on a track you must like it and would give it a high rating. I think this system is costing some quality tracks the 5-star rating they deserve.
Maybe this issue could be fixed in a future update?
