Hey everyone!
I will be uploading HOW TO videos of a game I am going to make. It is going to be heavily technical so I will do each different area of the game step by step. If you have any questions please let me know.
First Episode:
Second Episode:
This is pretty awesome, I skimmed through it a bit, but the fact that you have a very detailed how to on some of the more difficult things to do in the editor is great. Not only will it help skilled builders gain new skill sets, but it should also show would-be designers a very good starting point when they want to try some of the more technical aspects of the editor.
Well done!
Thanks MikeBMT. This is something I really want to do since I understand it. Helping people is always good. One thing I didnt expect with this video is that is was 18 minutes long. Tried to go as fast as I could while maintaning legibility(Is that a word?). For the next few videos they wont be as broad as this tutorial as you can use this anywhere. The next episodes will be more focused on the completion of my game. Sure you can use the skills else where but for the most part it is only usefull in the game Im making. But hopefully it helps people to understand how each event/trigger/filter can be used. Again thanks for the comments!
Really amazing work Telixion, I liked your game very much and explaining everything is even better, that info might come in handy.
Thanks. Im assuming you are talking about "Creature Time 1.1". Im glad its finally out. Worked on it forever. For my next game I really want to do a themed trials map. Put in a bunch of the death camera scenes that are in the single player portion when you fail in a certain area of the map. Makes the map memorable. After that Im not sure what Ill do next. Was thinking of a making an RTS. I know it will be technically impressive but not sure how fun it will be. So thats still questionable.
Impressive work!I can't wait what's coming next.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why is this not on RL picks omg!!
sooo many arrows.

How you ever figured all of this out is beyond me. Especially in the first month of the games release. This should be the level of comprehension after years of using the editor, at most. Duly impressive sir, in those regards. I have to ask you a couple of questions:
1.) What do you do for a living, or if you're in school, whats your major?
2.) How long did it take to create this?
and a bonus question, as it seems you may be the only person on Earth who may know : What is the meaning of life?
Amazing. Although I never really play these sorts of maps on Trials. Yes, technically they are freaking amazing, but to play, they are pretty slow and lacklustre. You should definitely put this talent to use on a Trials track.Originally Posted by Telixion
