Is there any chance of adding a 1 second delay in the next patch. Im finding it increasingly frustrating that people spam the checkpoint button because its quicker than landing properly and taking on the next obstacle.
I don't understand why faults don't count towards your end of race score. Surely a 0 fault run in 50 seconds is better than a 10 fault run in 40 seconds
On Trials and Hardcore Trials, faults don't count against you, just who crosses the finish line first.
Yes, it changes the strategy somewhat, but I don't see the need to change it or add a respawn delay.
Beating a track 10 seconds faster with 10 faults than someone with 0 faults is pretty damn impressive if you ask me.Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid
No necessarily.. People are strategically pressing B to regain good posture which gives them an advantage. Not having a penalty for faulting seems really odd to me especially considering that trials has always made it more important to 0 fault than get a good time. I'd much prefer a small delay to even things out. Even a second would do.Originally Posted by KyoshiYozima
Agreed. Don't directly deduct "end of round" points but make some sort of ~1-2 second penalty for faulting.Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid
i played against Veva Classy before, who is fairly high up on global (legit or not), on Groundhog Asylum.
i zeroed it but fluffed up a couple of areas and he finished in front by a few tenths with 4 faults and he got the 10 points.
almost the same time with 4 extra faults should not be declared the winner. i won overall though so i wont complain too much![]()
spamming the reset button is quicker than landing safely? really? if you mess up the jump you have to restart or fault either way, so of course the quicker you restart the better you do. as others have said i see no reason to change anything.
since you play lots of extreme tracks this makes no sense. since most regular players will have tons of faults anyway, because its a race not just complete it whenever.
not sure exactly what you're even saying, because if you land a jump right the first time then you'll easily beat those "checkpoint spammers".
I don't personally think it matters too much, ususlly when I race its clear one of us is faster.
There are a couple of cp's on the hard tracks in places where it would be quicker to fly over and reset in a decent position than to drop down, but we're talking 10ths of a second. If you're not closing this kind of gap on people spamming the B button, get more practice and show them how its done!![]()
i HIGHLY doubt that starting at a checkpoint ( not even moving ) is faster than speeding through it.
