We should be able to host public custom multiplayer games that allow anyone to join us, not just friends. Please can this be a priority for the next patch? Some of us don't have many friends to play with and it's such a shame not to compete with people on these new amazing custom tracks. The tracks download really quickly for others to play so shouldn't matter if others don't have them yet.
Online MULTIPLAYER custom Skill games too, please!!
Thank you.
In the meantime, add me on Xbox for multiplayer madness. UK Based.

I signed up for an account to inquire about this as well.
Custom game lobbies would be a great way to play some of the user created content when friends aren't around (as often is the case). Don't care if it's unranked, I want to experience all these awesome Supercross tracks with other people online.
Any chance of that happening, RedLynx? Or at the very least rolling some of the more popular Supercross tracks into the rotation for voting in matchmaking as husky suggested? I would prefer the friends style lobby for custom games with potentially more races and heats than ranked play, but I'd be glad to see any of the user created stuff playable online outside of private matches!
You can't play customs in public game!?
Ranked (public) matches do not allow one player to select tracks, because that would give him/her unfair advantage. After each track there's a voting screen between two randomly chosen tracks. Without a system like this, players would exploit the system (practice one track to perfection and only host matches with that track and always win). Thats why both the matchmaking (player pairing) and track selection must be random (voting from two random choices, everyone has equal chance to play their favorite tracks).
If we allowed players to bring their own custom tracks to ranked public matches, many players would bring tracks that are impossible to pass unless you know some special trick (for example a button code), and these players would rise to the top of the online leaderboard (always win all matches, while other players would always DNF --- not fun at all).
This is why matches that only allow one player to select the played tracks (customs or selected RL tracks) must be unranked private matches. You can invite players that are not in your friend list to your private matches as well. It's not limited to friends only. If of course would be great if we had a better way to promote your private matches (in case you have no friends to play with). If you have good suggestions to improve this, please post them to the suggestions thread.
The idea of including best custom tracks to the official supercross play list sounds pretty good (as long as all the included tracks would be very well tested and fair to everyone). The game doesn't support that currently however, and I am not sure if there would some technical limitations.
sebbbi I' ve heard that you can make skill games for up to 4 players. But does this only work on splitscreen on one console?
I think that came up in some connection with the redlynxlive shooter.....
Is that also due to technical limitations? I mean in supercross you have 4 players riding at the same time. Hmpf but can they or can't they have any effect on physical objects? This means basically that supercross is no different from the usual ghost mp they are just projected onto different lines or?
I'll post this here and there....most games have a ranked and un-ranked multiplayer option. If that was added in, then it would be fair. ALSO it would be really cool in the unranked matches (or private) if ANYONE could add tracks (as long as it totaled 7?) but only the host could delete tracks, so it wasn't a free for all. One other thing I would suggest is the ability to add customs when you 'randomize' a check mark to have supercross tracks/regular trials in the mix.Originally Posted by sebbbi
Skill games aren't able to be shared privately to test, how come? Have to make them a trials track and it doesn't work as well.

Once you are in that custom lobby it works as it would in a private friends match with the host choosing the tracks and heats and such. So that way you aren't just limited to two tracks / two heats and voting from a defined list like Ranked mode, and you can always quit out and go join a new one or host one yourself if you see a lot of stupid stuff the host picked just to win.
I suppose it would be too much work to undertake or it would have been in there from the start. Unranked / Custom public matches are pretty standard options alongside Ranked and Private / Friends matches with a lot of competitive online Xbox 360 games. Which is why it's surprising to see the option absent here, especially because of all the custom user created content that would make it even more desirable than many other games and give Trials Evo some pretty incredible longevity well after your friends stop playing.
I personally don't care about my rank at all, but I do care about having fun and playing these user made tracks with other people. Hope you guys figure something out!
