Anybody getting the issue where the textures are slow loading at the start of the race? It does this sometimes does it during the race as well, and when you restart.
I'm on an old-school launch era 20GB xbox with 1 GB free. If I erase and re-download the game, will I lose all my progress? I didn't see a save file, is progress saved to the gamertag or something?
Yes it has been happening to me also. I think you could get a memory card and save your profile info.
Happens to me all the time. I blame my old xbox!![]()
i think this happens to everyone. My thought is that it's there to reduce the loading time...maybe![]()
My Xbox has loads of free HD space and is only a couple of months old and I get horrific amounts of low textures appearing all over the place at the start of most tracks. Usually goes away after the race starts though![]()
I think so.Originally Posted by stiggyhead
This is normal. No worries. Similar texture popping happends also in many other console games (Crysis, Mass Effect, Rage, etc). We didn't want to put a loading screen after each restart, so there might be some occasional texture popping. If you find this distracting, you can move the game to a (fast) USB-stick.
Xbox only offers USB 2.0. I don't think you can get anything faster than the harddrive of the xbox youOriginally Posted by sebbbi
are already using. Might be wrong though. (Don't know anything about the xbox hard drive specs but considering
that they are made for fast streaming I guess they are at the limit). Got any personal experience with this sebbi?
Any stick you can recommend? I would buy one if you are sure that textures load faster.
Same here with the slow texture loading.. is this something that could be fixed?
I'd rather have a little texture pop than a loading screen after every restart for sure.
