    DNF Split Screen Multiplayer bug

    Maybe its just me but here goes.
    Myself and my friends have been playing tonnes of your game since it came out and overall have been incredibly pleased with its design, physics and experience. Mostly we use the game for the local multi-player (as it is awesome that this is one of the few downloadable titles that offers this) however we have been finding a persistent and frustrating bug. If we are playing local multi-player, in between the last checkpoint and the finish line (sometimes sooner) frequently 3 out of the 4 players will crash and DNF (rendering them uncontrolable and effectively "dead" beyond this point in the race, even whilst remaining motionless or just smoothly riding along. In some instances this has then inflicted up to a -68 penalty on that races score too. It has NOT happened in the tracks provided with the game, however in around 80% of the top rated tracks we have downloaded from on-line (40-50 tracks so far) have exhibited this behaviour, and even some tracks we have marked as not having this occur have later, when replayed, shown it.

    Is anyone else having this?
    is this a fundamental misunderstanding of the level editor that is causing this?
    Is it some sort of game mechanic?
    And overall, is there a way i can fix it?

    Keep up the great work guys, but some help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm getting this bug too, happens mostly on user created tracks, not sure if its happened on the tracks that came with the game. Sometimes it happens when the camera catches up with a player's ghost i.e. they crash then the camera catches up with them (as someone has gone ahead) before they respawn.

    I've had this also. It does seem to happen more on tracks that don't have 'enough' checkpoints. You know what I mean. Longer 2minue plus tracks that seem to only have 3 or 4 checkpoints. Also, from what I've noticed, RL tracks seem to have q CP right before the finish line. Maybe this has something to do with it.

    I tihnk the trick for player created tracks is to make the last checkpoint before the finish easy so that there is no chance for a DNF.
